The K&N 77-2575KS high-flow performance air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Ford Explorer models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on your vehicle are replaced by this K&N air intake system which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. The improved air flow allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than it would from the stock air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout your engine’s RPM range. The 77-2575KS air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor, crank case vent hose and a replacement silicone EVAP vent line. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and several wrenches. Some K&N 77 series air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Bought this filter in K&N ebay authorized dealer and install in less than 60 minutes. I was surprised on the big horsepower gain and little bit of fuel save... And the most I love on it is the monster sound which added points on my 2013 Ford Explorer XLT which kick other SUV ... You gotta try it then you tell your story to us also...

Good Buy. Easy Installation, as adding stuff like this should be! Love the feel of the extra power and the sound of the extra ponies on our 2014 Ford Explorer.

So far, very pleased. I installed the unit yesterday and drove in to work early this morning. There was a definite improvement in throttle response. The delay was gone. I think that pick up increased but that was hard to tell as I had the ac off and windows open and typically I have the ac on. I will say this, incredible sound. Under normal driving, you don't hear anything different but if you punch it, you will hear a woof of that air coming in and it sounds impressive!
