The K&N 77-2552KP high-flow performance air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Ford Ranger and Mazda B2300 models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on your vehicle are replaced by this K&N air intake system which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. The improved air flow allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than it would from the stock air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout your engine’s RPM range. The 77-2552KP air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive chrome-like finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor and a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver and a ratchet set. Some K&N 77 series air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

I've used K&N filters on all my vehicles for the patst 15 years. I have never had a problem or defect with any of the ones I used. Custom 2001 for Lightning, 83 Ford Ranger 306 385 HP, 2001 Toyota Corolla Power Adders. I don't think there is anohter brand out there that meets up to the spec's and performance of K&N filters, I'm sold and will have have one on the next build I do.

I went from 18 mpg 22 mpg with my '99 Ford Ranger 3.0 4x4. Fast shipping too.

Great stuff, great price. My first kit lasted about 15 applications which is less than a buck per time. Just apply the cleaner and rinse off. Let the filter dry and spray on the oil and you're done. Easier than driving to the store to get another air filter which I will never do again. Can only imagine how much money I've saved never having to buy another air filter over the years. Not to mention the increased air flow, which you can literally feel when you install for the first time, which increases performance. Over 128,000 miles and counting. My K&N filter is helping my Ford Ranger get to my goal of 200,000. Thanks guys.
