Built for performance and show utilizing the highest quality components, the K&N 77 Series High-Flow Performance Air Intake is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed for Trucks and Sport Utility Vehicles. 77-Series air intakes come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty. K&N intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle's engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The filters on these kits are washable and reusable. Most of our intake kits are relatively easy to install using tools commonly available (see installation instructions). Some 77 Series Air Intakes are not legal for use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website vehicle parts search for specific CARB status. [MORE]

I have purchased 4 of your high flow filters and haven't been disappointed as of yet. I am an engineer by profession so being efficient is a forte' of mine both on the job and at home. I have never put one of my vehicles on a dyno, so I can't quote exact numbers. Now that being said I have noticed an improvement in mpg and throttle response in all of my vehicles that I installed a K&N filter on. I have picked up an average of 2 to 3 mpg. I also go a step further and recommend this to all that read this. Change all of your fluids to synthetic. I changed my oil, transmission and rear differential to synthetic for an additional 2 to 3 mpg. and then on my truck I installed a tounneau cover to get another 2mpg. in all I am getting 25mpg city/hwy on my 2004 Dodge Dakota and 28 hwy. Not bad considering the ratings were 19/22. Happy Motoring!!!!

Installed this on a 2005 Dodge Durango with the Hemi a year after buying the vehicle new. (has been on the Durango now for over 7 years). First thing you notice when removing the OEM air intake is all the extra sound dampner boxes and restrictive passages. The K&N is a large near-straight tube taking air directly to the throttle body. Has a nice large filter. Kind of a pain to get it off to clean due to being squeezed into a tight space but do-able. Once installed and I started up the Hemi it rev'ed up super high due to all the restriction being taken away (what it was use to). I then took it for a drive and it was night and day improvement in response and extra power. Took a week or so of driving and the computer adjusted and optimized to the new intake. Saw a tiny improvement in MPGs. The power & sound is awesome. When you get on it it really growls. If you drive conservatively it is near unnoticeable. Have had no issues with it over the years and filter has held up great. I would get it for any Hemi vehicle I own in the future.
