The K&N 69-9505T Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, silicone tube air induction system designed to fit some Audi A4 models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-9505T air intake comes with an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers. ratchet set and some wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

This thing rocks!  I have been a K&N customer for 5 years now, using them in every car I own.  I have since upgraded to a 2001 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro and purchased one for it.  A considerable difference in performance and fuel comsumption.  And they are so easy to clean for reuse, it pays for itself in months.  Awesome!

Couldn't find this filter in stores, even though it's made for the popular VW / Audi FSI 2.0 Turbo engine from 2006 - 2009. No problems finding it on the K&N website though. The site was easy to use, shipping was free and the cost was similar to other K&N products in the retail store. Fit of this filter was perfect as expected. This is my 2nd K&N filter I've installed and it seems to help with the turbo spool in my VW EOS. I just cleaned my other K&N filter last week which was simple. Great product, good price, great company. I'll be back, still have 2 cars without K&N.

Hey, you want to go? Go K&N. I have used K&N oil and air filters for years. I don't put a lot of millage on my 1996 Chevy Astro Van. I change oil and filter in the spring and fall. The used oil is still very clean, more gold than black. I use a good high millage oil and [brand] lube. The motor has 115,000 miles on it and has never been torn down deeper than the intake manifold gasket. The van is a mild custom with a performance chip and straight exhaust. I have a cold air filter on order and can't wait for it to get here. I have a lot of fun blowing the doors of the young guns souped Honda Civics. With the new filter it will be even faster. Because of the weight and rear gears, my tires don't spin off the line. The chip kicks in a split second after I floor it. My son has a Civic with an Audi engine and a cold air system and can't even come close. With my new system, I will be even faster. By the way kids, I'm 68, so the next time you see some old guy driving, don't assume he doesn't have a little surprise for you. lol Stick with K&N oil and air filters and use good oil and your car will thank you for it.
