Built for performance and show, the 69 Series Typhoon™ Air Intake System is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to fit many sport compact performance vehicles. Typhoon intake tubes have a high quality finish that's made to last. K&N intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction resulting in additional power and torque. All of them come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty and are guaranteed to increase horsepower. Some Typhoon Air Intakes are not legal for use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website vehicle parts search for specific CARB status. [MORE]

Customer Feedback      Be the first to review part 69-8606TB

Dear K&N team,
You encourage your customers to send you their results. So these are mine:

I am from southern Germany. I used to drive an old VW Golf from 1988. A few years ago I replaced the original foam filter with a K&N filter charger. Because I had driven the car a few years at that time I immediately recognized a slight improvement of performance; moreover, my car had more torque and needed less fuel. But the effect was really just above to be noticed.

Now I have a new car, brand new this time, a Toyota Yaris 1,0L. I replaced the original air filter after about 4000 kilometers with a K&N filter charger. I noticed during change that the K&N is VERY thin compared with the original filter (which is cotton too, I think). I even breathed through the original, what left me exhausted ;) because it was so thick. I never had any problems with the K&N filter while it was in my VW Golf, so I put that thin thing into my new car and took it for a ride. What shall I say? The effect was overwhelming. My car now has more torque, more power, goes faster AND needs less fuel. I know this sounds impossible, but it is true. I can drive 140 to 150 kilometers per hours with about 6,5 or even 6,0 liters of fuel! I calculated after a few weeks and I found out that my car now needs about 0,5 to 0,75 liters less fuel than before the filter change!

I will recommend K&N filters to all my friends & family. I should mention that the reason I bought K&N filters was in the first place for making my car more environment-friendly. That they did help me with for both of my cars.

Thank you very much for this high-quality product!

All the best & greetings from Germany,
Christian Daser, Traunstein, Germany
My friend who races go carts advised me on the K&N oil filters. This will be my second oil change using them on my 2006 Toyota 4 Runner. I can't tell how they are working but I trust my friend and will be using the K&N oil filters from now on.

I noticed a definite improvement in the Toyota Previa's performance when climbing long grades on the highway at altitude (around 8,000 feet and higher). It was encouraging and the supercharged V-4 engine seemed to be operating at its potential. I guess that's what freer breathing will do for you!
