The K&N 69-8522TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Toyota Celica GTS models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-8522TS air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor and EVAP vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and several wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Customer Feedback

My expectations were very high given my previous experience with other K&N filters installed in my other vehicles. Excellent product that lives up to its promise of increased acceleration & overall improvement in power. Very fast delivery of item too. I received much sooner than expected in double box. Installed in a new 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail making an excellent vehicle even better if that's even possible Hats off to the folks @ K&N

Since I replaced the stock Toyota air filter with the K &N filter I've seen a slight difference in fuel mileage and horse power. Slight but noticeable.

2014 toyota tacoma 2.7l / 5-speed (Brand Name) exhaust & K&N Intake No. 77-9026KP Has an amazing sound at WOT At hi-way speeds, it feels like I don't have to press the throttle down as hard when driving up and down hills. Maybe slight improvement in fuel economy? I've also been thinking of wrapping the intake pipe with an exhaust wrap for an additional heat barrier, but it might be over kill?
