The K&N 69-7082TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Infiniti G35 models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-7082TS air intake comes with dual black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filters and heat shields that install into the previous air box spaces. Air is directed through the intake tubes into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tubes have an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensors and crank case vent hoses. The oversized cone shaped air filters can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a couple of screwdrivers, ratchet set and some wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Filter was for my Infiniti G35 coupe and was installed with the help of a DIY video.

i just got back from a test drive with my new K&N Filter and i must say i noticed a very big difference on my 1997 Infiniti J30. The acceleration and rev(dual throttle body)..omg!..it now sounds like a G35!

I've been using K&N air and oil filters for many years now, cars and motorcycles. The last car I had was a BMW 525i and I consistently calculated a 3-4 mpg (highway) improvement in gas mileage. I recently purchased a 2012 Infiniti M37 and am averaging 2-3 mpg improvement on the highway. I just like the fact I don't have to change the paper filters often and do notice better gas mileage on the highway which makes me feel a little better since I have to use premium grade. When I checked all the auto parts stores they didn't have them or told me they were on backorder. I called K&N directly and they were shipped out quick. Customer service was above average and worked efficiently. And if you ever decide to engineer and sell automobile CABIN FILTERS that have carbon/charcoal layer and are oiled with a light scent, SIGN ME UP! I hate changing the air filters so often. There is a model of the Infiniti that has a feature called Forest Air that people seem to love. Unfortunately, mine doesn't have it. Just sayin. Thanks.
