The K&N 69-5303TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Hyundai Elantra models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-5303TS air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space connecting the factory fresh air intake scoop. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and an Allen wrench. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Have used various K&N air filtration systems over the years. Had a drop in filter on my 98 Ford Taurus(3.0 V6)and FIPK kits on my 97 GMC Jimmy(4.3 V6) and 92 Saturn(DOHC I4). Currently I'm using the kit from the Saturn in my 2005 Hyundai Elantra(2.0 I4)and a drop in filter on my 97 Moto Guzzi California (1100 V-Twin). No complaints other than not having a dedicated kit for the Elantra but the Saturn kit modded easily to it. Fuel mileage increases all around and noticeable power increase on the Jimmy. Considering purchase of kit for the girlfriend's Accord...

I heard of K&N filters for the longest time, and had the opportunity to try out one of the air filters for a Hyundai Elantra 08 model. I am using the drop in filter, hence DIY was pretty much straight forward. The initial response was just amazing. To prove that this was not just mere phychological, a similar model car was sent for a Dyno test, and it was proven that K&N filter does increase the Horse Power of the car by at least 5hp compared to the stock filter. I couldn’t be more happy and proud. My next mission to try to source of the K&N air filter for my Vulcan 500 bike :)

Folks at K&N - thank you very much.

I'm using a drop-in air filter on my new Hyundai Elantra (2008 model). What else can I say.... one word, 'AWESOME'. I never felt so wonderful before with smooth acceleration and better fuel efficiency.

Keep it up guys and thank you so much!!
