The K&N 69-3532TTK Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Mercury Grand Marquis and Ford Crown Victoria models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-3532TTK air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive black powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The tools needed are a couple of screwdrivers, a ratchet set and some Allen wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Customer Feedback

I bought this K&N cold air intake for my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. Installation started out fine, had very clear instructions. Everything was going great until I got to the part where you install the mass air flow sensor. Mine was totally different. After calling K&N I found out that early production models for 2004 has the same setup as the 2003's which doesn't fit. I would have appreciated knowing that before I ordered but I found out the hard way. I had to uninstall what I had done, put my old intake back on the car and return the K&N. What a hassle.

I was very impressed overall with ordering from K&N. My order shipped same day and arrived when it was supposed to. The cold air intake system I ordered for my 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor fit very good and the installation was simple. The instructions provided are excellent with step by step instructions with pictures of a Crown Vic engine bay. The increased performance can be felt along with increased throttle response. The sound of the air intake working under hard acceleration is a bonus You can really hear the air being drawn in and it sounds good

I bought this Custom Air Filter (60-1263) for my 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis 302, first of all I've got problems because the diameter of the base plate was 5 1/8 and my carburator is 5 3/8. After solving that little problem the car looks awesome, and has more acceleration and sounds awesome.
