The K&N 69-3521TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Ford Mustang GT models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-3521TP air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive chrome-like finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor as well as the IAC and PCV vent hoses. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver and ratchet set. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Outstanding products. Purchase two K&N filters, one for my 2008 Gmc Sierra and one for a 2008 Ford Mustang GT. Noticed an immediate increase in horsepower. Thank you.

I've replaced OEM air filters with the equivalent K&N filters in all my vehicles for the last 10 years or so. I've never really seen any appreciable increase in mileage using the replacement filter cartridges, but I can feel a gain in horsepower in the weak little 4 cylinder cars I've had. When I bought my 2008 Mustang GT I decided to splurge and get the CAI kit No.63-2565. Not only did I gain about 10 HP at the rear wheels, but my highway mileage jumped from 27 mpg to 31 mpg cruising at 70 mph. Not too shabby for a 300ish HP V8 engine. If K&N made a CAI kit for my Ford Ranger I'd buy it. It's not a race vehicle, but I'm sure I would enjoy a little more HP and better mileage, although 27 mpg highway isn't bad for a small P/U truck.

I bought a K&N Filter for my 1995 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 302.
I was Running my car with a stock intake pushing custom pulleys chopped flow masters. MAN CAN I TELL THE DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!
But, I lost my K&N sticker, so I can't represent.
