The K&N 69-2542TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Dodge Avenger models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-2542TS air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory inlet air temperature sensor, crank case vent hose and air injection hose on certain vehicles. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and some wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Once again K&N delivers. I had replaced my factory air filter from Dodge on a 2013 Dodge Avenger R/T. Even though it was brand new, my vehicle had sluggish responses to acceleration prompts. Replaced it with ease with a K&N air filter. I took it for a test drive to compare and I could feel the massive difference in response. K&N is by far the best way to go when it comes to air filters. Plus, beating the price is nearly impossible for the quality and results that they deliver.

After years of using drop in K&N filters on multiple vehicles, I took the plunge on a performance intake kit for my 2013 Dodge Avenger. This car is a daily commuter with an anemic 2.4ltr naturally aspirated 4cyl. With the new performance intake kit, this air starved little engine can now breath like it needs to. The extra horsepower is apparent and my average gas mileage has increased by 4 mpg! I like that under normal driving conditions, the engine sound is unaltered from stock, no matter what speed. But push the throttle past 40%, the sound is fantastic! Installation was a breeze with everything fitting perfectly. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It took me less than an hour from start to finish. Each part in the kit was made of high quality materials. I went with K&N for numerous reasons, reputation, experience in the industry, quality engineering. No 'check engine' light like I read so much about on lesser intakes. I would highly recommend K&N products.I also greatly appreciate that K&N makes a product for my vehicle, a vehicle that isn't a highly modifiable car, but greatly benefits from the added performance.

Bought a 2004 Hyundai Accent base factory. Bought the car used so it wasn't taken care of. Replaced all the plugs, wires, and fuel filter and jumped gas mileage from 19 to 24. After replacing the air filter with a K & N Filter gas mileage went to 32 MPG !! Changed the oil with synthetic with a K & N oil filter and got 37 MPG next tank !

K & N Rocks !!

Have installed K & N air filters on every vehicle ranging from the Hyundai, a 95 Camaro, 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and now a 97 Dodge Avenger. Waiting for the filter on the Avenger to come in, but know it will give performance and gas mileage that is unbelievable.

Found multiple people at auto part stores buying filters before - and told them the advantages of buying a  K & N performance filter, and it changed their mind from the $ 6 paper junk filter.

Keep up the great work K & N, love your products !!

need to study exhaust systems...that would rock to make a K & N Muffler !
