The K&N 69-1020TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Honda Civic models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as it smoothes and straightens air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 69-1020TS air intake comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space and connects to the fresh air duct. Air is directed from the air filter and through the intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last and it accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a couple of screwdrivers, pliers, a ratchet set and several wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal. Check the K&N catalog or website for vehicle applications and specific CARB status for each vehicle and air intake.

Its been working great. I'm super happy with the performance.

First off, I/we have your products on all of our vehicles. I got a kick out of my wife's comment on the performance of her Yukon. She called me and told me that something might be wrong with the engine, because of the sound it made when she accelerated. So I asked her if she might be able to explain. And I was thinking, maybe I might of left something loose or not installed correctly. So she explained that when she accelerated that the engine was making a loud BOOO sound and the vehicle seemed to accelerate must faster then before. That's when I advised her that I had installed your filter system on her Yukon.  She said WOW it sounds loud, however she really enjoys the extra power and pick up, love you Sonny!!
Now almost 2 years ago I purchased my 2011 Honda Civic and I called your company to purchase / research the possibilty of installing the filter system on my new car. I was told that it was not yet ready for purchase, in other words, R&D was in work / planning. However I was asked if I would like to be notified when it was available for the public. And of course I said yes and gave him my email address. Well time passed and I called again and was informed that it was still not available so I said ok. I was told that I would be able to purchase the filter now but not the kit, so I did. And I was satisfied for now. Then I was looking on Amazon trying to find a cold induction system and I saw that they had your kits available for my Honda. So I called your company to purchase one. However your notification system failed to notify me of the availably of the kit when it was available to the public. The filter was like $45.00 plus tax.
