The K&N AirCharger 63-3082 air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-3082 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that replaces the factory air box. This allows cooler, denser air to be directed through a custom molded intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install requiring only a screwdriver, socket set and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

Installed on my 2014 GMC 1500 4x4 Sierra Crew Cab. I'm no mechanic so the install took me about an hour, and was fairly easy. I already have a Borla Exhaust on the truck, but still noticed a much deeper sound. Haven't noticed a difference in mpg plus or minus, but could just be the way I drive.

  Sounds awesome.

Easy install with no special tools required. Took me about 1.5 hours really taking my time. Installed it on a 2015 Chevy Silverado and sounds great on low end of gears. No noticeable increase in mileage, but worth the sound and seems to add slight increase in HP.

Performance - this is a must have. Have installed K&N cold air intakes on many of my trucks and by far this is the best for waking up this vehicle. My 2014 Silverado is lifted with 35.9X12.9 tires - 308 rear end and has no problem spinning some rubber off and sending you straight to the back of the seat. In addition it gives a distinct sound with out becoming overbearing. Savings - Towed our camper the first weekend I installed it and got another mile per gallon in tow as well. If my math is correct and I keep the truck for 100K miles at roughly $3.00 P/G I will have saved just shy of $2K in fuel. No real investment out there that will earn you those kind of percentages. This is a win/win purchase Advice - Only advice I give is to not over tighten the plastic on the crank case vent pieces. Read the directions for specs on it as it is only 1/16th after finger tight, of course went too far and broke one off and tried to fix it with epoxy and glued the broken piece to the threads. Called customer service and they are shipping me out a new one even when I let them know it was my fault. Now I have to find a way to remove epoxy from plastic or re-tap the threads in the plastic.

Bought this for a 2015 Yukon. Hoping the horsepower increase will get me closer to the power of the bigger engine without burning all the gas the 6.2L does. It's a little throatier than I expected, particularly in the lower end when driving in town. Hope I don't end up regretting the extra noise. Hoping to see power and MPG improvements towing a boat.
