The K&N AirCharger 63-2572 air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Ford F150 models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your F150’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-2572 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. The placement allows air to be directed through a custom molded intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install requiring only a screwdriver, socket set and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

Replaced the stock air filter on my 2001 Ford F150 with a K&N replacement filter. I noticed an immediate increase in responsiveness and from the first full tank an increase in my gas mileage. Since this is vehicle is used more around town the gas mileage is low but I increased by at about 2 MPG. Considering a standard air filter cost about $40 per replacement this will be a financial savings after two replacements. I typically replace the filter ever 8k miles since I do some dirt road travel, this will be an easy wash and reinstall. Highly recommend these filters, should have done this sooner. I have replaced the standard air filter on my 2014 Dodge Charger with the same results and will replace the filter on my daughters 2013 Ford Focus shortly.

This product is the real deal. Directions were straight forward and install was the same. This was installed on a 2011 6.2L Ford F150 Platinum PU and just after installation took truck on a 2400 mile road trip which entailed mountain and desert driving with outside temperatures ranging from 65-109 degrees at average of 72 MPH. Realized a 1.5-2.0 mile per gallon increase in fuel efficiency depending on whether we were in the mountains or on the desert floor. There is definitely a increase in noise levels ( K&N acknowledges this in their information sheet) upon acceleration over stock since the process calls for removing the stock noise dampener box that is located just in front of the throttle body but quietens down to a very pleasant level when cruising. Throttle response time was quicker. I don't know about the so called HP increase since the test data shows the max HP gain was 27HP but this was a 52-5300 RPM and my max RPM was not over 3000 RPM and average was about 2200 RPM. I have used K&N Filters over the years but this is 1st time with the complete intake system.
