The K&N 63-1570 Air Intake fits some Jeep Grand Cherokee models. See vehicle applications link for details.
The K&N 63-1570 AirCharger air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter, air intake housing and intercooler pipe on specific Jeep Grand Cherokee Turbo Diesel models. K&N air intake systems are designed to dramatically reduce air intake restriction as well as smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly and turbo intercooler pipe. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-1570 air intake system comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the original air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s turbo inlet for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install, usually in 90 minutes or less using your vehicle’s existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a couple of screwdrivers, a ratchet set and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

Happy with the system. Not hard to install. A tad noisier than stock air inlet system. Now to determine what difference it will make on my trip hauling my travel trailer.

So far, pretty impressed. Installation was easy enough with common tools. I was, however, missing one bolt. The product was delivered in the actual K&N box which had a hole in it, also poking a hole in the bag of hardware. Easy enough to remedy. Installation took exactly the 90 minutes as predicted. I wish I could upload a video because the sound difference is amazing, It actually sounds like a TURBO diesel now. Much improved throttle response. Noticeable difference when the boost builds up. Curious to see what it does for fuel economy. I will be taking a road trip here shortly and have a better idea then and update accordingly. I would say there is enough HP increase, throttle response and over all increase to justify the price. I will reiterate if you are going to be displeased by hearing your turbo most of the time then you might want to reconsider getting the product. Totally worth it though.
