K&N 57i Generation II Induction Kits are built primarily for European vehicles. They come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty™. These intake kits use only non-metallic rotationally molded tubes that can reduce air temperature and decrease intake sound over a metal tube. Restriction can exist BETWEEN an air filter and the engine reducing the benefit of a K&N Air Filter alone. The weakest link in the airflow "chain" robs a vehicle of its natural horsepower. Often that weak point is the factory air path leading to the engine. K&N Air Intake Kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the air filter and the entire air path to the engine. The aerodynamically engineered tube drives a massive amount of air into an engine, which translates into POWER. 57i Intakes are not legal for use in California and other US States adopting California emission standards.

I just recently sold my 1997 Ford Ranger 2.0 4cl manual that I had owned for 8 yrs. One of my first aftermarket purchases for that truck was a K&N factory replacement air filter. What a difference!! The truck actually had power after that filter was installed. Fuel mileage also went up considerably with a best of 26 MPG with an open bed. Also the truck had a rough idle with the stock filter that completely disappeared with the K&N. I put over 120,000 miles on the Ranger (a.k.a Blue) and only had to clean the filter twice. And I must say cleaning the filter was a lot easier than I expected.
Due to my satisifaction with the product I have purchased a K&N for my recently purchased 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser. The PT has what I consider a dismal 22 mpg combined ( hey for a 4 banger I don't think that's great). I'm looking forward in seeing the increase in mpg with the K&N. That is if I can behave myself now and keep my foot out of it! I've already noticed an increase in acceleration, and a lot smoother idle. Also there was a slight lag in power when I passed cars with the AC on. That lag is no longer present and power production is smooth and uniterupted.
Awesome product, highly recommended.
Anyone thinking the cost of these filters is high, trust me when I say it is worth it. The cost of the filter is quickly recompensated in gas savings and filter replacements.

Well I have been running the K&N air filter on my 04 Dodge Neon and 05 Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible for about a year now. I am VERY HAPPY I spent the money. Respectively my gas mileage has been solid 30 and solid 25. As for the Neon, I can't compare with old filter since I got the K&N within a month of the purchasing the Neon. But for my PT I am soooooo pleased since the only time I got above 21mpg before the K&N was on the highway. Then it was usually 25-26. Since K&N I get solid 25. K&N is the BEST and I will never drive another vehicle without one.

Immediately noticed a change in my 2007 Chrysler 300, 3.5L. It gave it more of a growl. It pulls in alot more air now. Its acceleration increased pretty nicely, its 0-60 cut down by 2-3 seconds. It's quicker in response to the gas pedal, when the gears change it's smoother, the engine is happy! Almost makes me wanna get the full cold air intake now!
