The 71-1561, 2009-2014 Ram 1500 and 2013-2014 Ram 2500 V8-5.7L HEMI, is a great mod for your RAM with instant results The instructions were good but some points I would like to share. I installed this induction system Friday the 13th of June, 2014. UPDATE: Re-installed on my 2015 RAM Sport Reference the IAT, Inlet Air Temperature, sensor two things to note. (1) Handle with care and confirm no debris on the end of the sensor, my application was blue in color. (2) Orientation of the IAT sensor should be in line with the flow of air inside the tube. Just take note how the IAT is positioned on the OEM intake tube when removing. I applied a very small amount of petroleum jelly on the oring, confirm you seat the IAT fully into the grommet and in the correct orientation. As far as the intake tube fitting many are complaining that they have broken, stating is cheap, etc., contacted K&N, which they have replaced for no charge great customer service BTW But if you follow the instructions it states the following: Plastic NPT (National Pipe Thread?) fittings are easy to cross thread. Install the vent fitting 'hand' tight then turn it two complete turns with a wrench. I used the box end with no problems/issues. The fitting will show approximately 3 threads left and I feel installers observe this and crank it down & snap the fitting. Bottom line of course is to take the time to read the instructions completely, then confirm parts and organize, then start with step 1 and have fun. Make it a slow process and enjoy the moment of your installation of your new mod Then as you stand back admiring your work, treat yourself to your favorite beverage. Fast delivery. When I've put it I've start immediately the engine and went for a ride, this air filter gave more reactivity into my seat; for it's a very good surprise cause my normal mode is now as the sports mode. So it's working well, I'm just waiting to see if that' gonna save the fuel economy.

These are great filters but make sure to clean the filter element after each oil change. Since it is full flow if the filter part starts to clog, then the bypass valve will start to operate, and as it is that will destroy the bypass filter seat if left too long, and cause issues. Otherwise, your oil pressure will increase, and your engine will run smoother, and last longer.
