K&N 57i Generation II Induction Kits are built primarily for European vehicles. They come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty™. These intake kits use only non-metallic rotationally molded tubes that can reduce air temperature and decrease intake sound over a metal tube. Restriction can exist BETWEEN an air filter and the engine reducing the benefit of a K&N Air Filter alone. The weakest link in the airflow "chain" robs a vehicle of its natural horsepower. Often that weak point is the factory air path leading to the engine. K&N Air Intake Kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the air filter and the entire air path to the engine. The aerodynamically engineered tube drives a massive amount of air into an engine, which translates into POWER. 57i Intakes are not legal for use in California and other US States adopting California emission standards. I added your filter and intake tube to my BMW 325i and am more than pleased. The growl is great and it removed a low down flat spot and added a little more kick but the best bit is it improved my fuel economy by at least 1.2L per 100km, a savings of about $1.60+ per 100km. It will pay for itself in the not too distant future. I have always had a K&N filters in my cars over the years and recommend them to everyone

I put over 70000 miles on my 1995 BMW 325i before I got smart and put in the basic K&N replacement for the floppy OEM filter.  What a difference!

A few weeks ago, after rolling over 220,000 miles, my car was in the local BMW specialty shop for a full front to back inspection and tune up.  The owner of the shop test drove my car and remarked, when I picked it up, it had more power and torque than any non M type 3 series than he had ever experienced (this coming from a German certified BMW engineer).  

He sheepishly admitted to having given it a thorough test drive and asked what I had done to make it so powerful.  I replied that all it had was an aftermarket chip and a belatedly added on K&N air filter.

I have, over the years, flogged my 325i up and down mountain back roads and cruised over endless hours of interstate and have never wanted for more power. I still have the same dutifully cleaned and oiled K&N filter too!

Hi you guys, I bought another KN filter for my new BMW. I owned a Jetta with one of your wonderful filters. I used it several years and I never had to clean it. Now I bought a 328i BMW last month and the first thing I bought was one of your filters. The results are just beautiful. My brother who has the same car, is going to buy another KN filter next week, we can't believe the magic results.
