The K&N 57-5500 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air box. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction and improve air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-5500 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter that installs onto the factory mass air sensor and air inlet tube within the previous air box space. Air is directed through the air filter and into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less. The tools needed are a screwdriver, a ratchet set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

I use your cold air intakes on my 1996 Bronco, a 1998 Eagle Talon and a 2005 Legacy GT wagon.

I'm dissapointed you don't offer an intake for my 2010 MX-5 2.0L. I'd love to replace the stock intake and eliminate the sound enhancement through the firewall! Unfortunately, MazdaSpeed doesn't offer an air intake either.

I used the same K&N drop-in filter on my 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD from 2002 to 2007, when I sold it.  The new owner of the car is still using the filter I purchased years ago.  I'm now using K&N air filters on my 1993 Mazda Miata, and my 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR4.  It has made a night-and-day difference on the Miata, especially in low-end torque.  On the Galant, I now hit boost 200-300 RPM sooner, and I can definitely feel the difference in power.  Not only are K&N air filters proven to perform, they are also built to last.

Plus, K&N oil filters always have a nut welded on to the end of each filter.  As someone who changes my own oil, that's a godsend.

I have used K&N products for several years as a ship's engineer. I am now retired and still own the 1988 Harley Davidson FLST I bought new in '87. I also am still using one of the first Screamin Eagle CV carbs. No one makes the correct air filter, so I went back home to K&N for a universal filter that I knew would not only deliver the air flow necessary but would look good as well.
