The K&N 57-3042 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Cadillac CTS models. K&N air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your CTS’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-3042 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed past the mass air sensor and through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the crank case vent hose. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a couple of screwdrivers, a ratchet set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

I own a 2011 Cadillac CTS couple 3.6L. I recently purchased the K&N cold air intake for my car. I installed the unit within 2hrs and let me tell you, it was the best 300 dollars I spent. Not only was it worth it but it released a monster that was sleeping underneath my hood. Hats off to the K&N team. Keep up the good work my friends.

About a month ago I bought this unit (57-3054) for my CTS-V 2005. What a difference from the factory unit. The car really breathes literally, you stand by it and you can hear it. I wanted to see what it could do with this system on it. The Cadillac mechanic told me that I was in for a surprise, sure enough I was. First off the car is fast from the begining but, it got faster. From the dyno machine they have I went from 425BHP to 505BHP ummm. I took it out for the run and I really this is not a joke .....I was into 135mph before I knew it. The response from this thing is unreal. I am also getting better gas mileage with this system. For those of you who have a CTS-V you need to get one it will not hurt, unless you are in flying all the time. I plan to get one for my sister's car also a CTS 2006 3.6 L V6. Best move for this car. Also want to thank Troy for his help.
