The K&N 57-3023-1 FIPK air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-3023-1 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed past the mass air sensor and through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor and heat shield allows the radiator overflow hose. The oversized conical air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points and only requires commonly available tools. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Does what it is supposed/advertised to do. Adds extra kick to acceleration. Makes a bit of noise, so it is definitely noticeable. Wouldn't add to rig if you don't like an additional throaty sound upon acceleration. I happen to like it, and think it sounds good. My wife disagrees. But she likes added power

Love it. Have installed a K&N intake on both of my silverado 2500's and my yukon denali. Noticeable power increase towing or normal driving. As far as fitment goes, its perfect. If the intake tube is hitting the fan shroud then most likely you have bad motor mounts or dont have intake adjusted correctly.

Easy to install (I found the online video better than the written instructions that came in the box). I've only had the new intake installed for a few weeks, so I can't judge its efficacy. I do notice a positive change in the sound of the engine.
