The 57 Series Generation II air intake, also referred to as an FIPK®, is K&N's ultimate performance product. These performance intakes are designed to increase power by as much as 10%. 57 Series FIPK's are CARB exempt, street legal in all 50 US states, come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty and are guaranteed to increase power. K&N air intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This translates into more power and torque for your vehicle. The air filters on these kits are washable and reusable. Most of our air intake systems are easy to install using tools commonly available (see installation instructions). [MORE]

Customer Feedback      Be the first to review part 57-2529-1

I run K & N air filters on just about everything I have with wheels, bikes, SUV, trucks, van, have done for years. I just added a K & N 57-2529-1 FIPK setup to my 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, this is my third FIPK for my Rangers, also have a 1996 2.3 4 banger and a 1998 3.0 V6. They are great add ons and make quite a difference to performance etc, but what makes them even better is how easy they are to install due to their design and the documentation. It took me less than an hour to fit the latest one, biggest problem was getting the OEM filter box off.
I do have one regret, you still have not made an FIPK for my 2003 Escape with the 3.0 V6, why is this? I think its a great candidate.
Keep up the good work.

Dear K&N~

My name is Adam Hanson.  I have been using your products on all my trucks since I turned 16.  K&N filters, and air intake kits do everything they say they will and more.  I recently bought a 2002 Ford Ranger ext cab short box 4x4 offroad.  It has the 4.0L SOHC V6.  The first thing I bought for it was a K&N air filter.  Before I installed it I wanted to see what difference it would make.  I drove the truck for the first week with the stock filter, and averaged 17mpg.  After I installed your filter I was averaging 19mpg.  2 more mpg will save me a lot of money, and the filter will pay for itself in no time.  Awesome!!!!!  I recommend K&N filters to all my friends, and customers at work.  I work for Red Rooster Auto Parts store in Crystal, MN.

I have just installed an FIPK Gen II kit into my 2002 4x4 4.0L SOHC Ford Ranger. The install pictures were great and the install only took about 1.5 hours. The motor sounded great after I restarted and checked for leaks. Then out on the road I went WOW. What a difference in throttle performance and pick up. The speed curve was smooth and powerful. This was funds well spent. This got your company another sale as my father has a 2001 Ranger with the same engine and we ordered a kit for his truck today! My advice to any one is consider this performance upgrade as it was well worth the time and gains.

Thanks
Steve Brown, Denver, Colorado
