The K&N 57-1555 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Jeep Grand Cherokee models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1555 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, a ratchet set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

I replaced the air filter on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with a K&N filter and immediately noticed a difference in acceleration and power, especially going up the steep hill to my house. I would recommend this to anyone.

It is like a ( Breathe Right nasal strip) for your jeep. 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 5.7L V8 HEMI. Just enough more airflow for an increase in throttle response (performance). I see better fuel economy over the very thick stock factory air filter. Seems to shift smoother, faster with the K&N filter. I can not think of anything else for the money that gives you the return that this air filter gives. In my old 97 and 99 stock Cherokees 6 cylinders in Leadville,Co at 13,000+ feet there was one trail and at the end was a hard climb ( Had to use full throttle ) where the stock Jeeps with the K&N air filters would give you just enough more air flow ( where the air was very very thin or a lack of it ) a really nice advantage over the Cherokees 6 cylinders with the stock air filters. It sounded like the engine sound where it was sucking air was in slow motion. (The lack of air would just rob the jeep of any horsepower and it felt like you were moving in slow motion also.) But the ones with the K&N filters would make it to the top. This will always stick in my memory... Thanks for reading.

I have enjoyed the K & N replacement filters in all my vehicles for several years. The performance and mileage gains are well worth the investment. I had a '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 lt V8 and put a full intake kit on that and loved it. When I replaced the Jeep with a '07 Chev Tahoe with the biggest small block V8, the first thing I did was to add the Performance Intake kit. As expected, installation was very easy. Looks great and wow, what a kick. I haven't had a chance to measure mileage yet, cuz I can't keep my foot out of the gas. The sound of that big American V8, breathing thru the K&N kit is awesome. Brings back memories of my heyday with the 60's and 70's muscle cars. The power difference is noticeable immediately. If K&N made a filter kit for my John Deere TRactor, you bet I would have one.
