The K&N 57-1554 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Dodge Nitro models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1554 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, ratchet set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Put @ K&N 33-2363 air filter in my 2008 Dodge Nitro R/T with @ 4.0l V6. Factory mileage was listed @ 11 litres @ 100/klm's. After installing the filter, I was down to 8.6 liters per 100/klm's @ a cruising speed of 110 klm's on the highway! Hope my new filter installed in my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 litre Hemi will give me the same results if not better. Thanks K&N

Another K&N filter for our household, the Prius, the Rav 4, and now my new Dodge Ram diesel 1500 has a lifetime filter. K&N let me know when it was ready, as this is a new model for my Dodge, and as usual the filter rocks!! Thanks a bunch!

Picked up some extra HP and much better MPG. You can feel the power. It's a Dodge Dakota with a 360 Magnum. Las Vegas is hot in the summer so this intake helps to get cooler air to the throttle body. Cool air, better HP and MPG. Can't beat that. Even with the extra power I'm getting much better MPG. Thanks.
