The K&N 57-1529 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Ram 1500 models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Ram’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1529 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized, oval tapered cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points and requires only commonly available tools. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

  First off the delivery was impeccable, came a day earlier than expected! But that's besides the point. K&N delivers a very good and clean product well-done from the bottom up and I wouldn't compare them to anyone else. They do deliver some of the best CAI systems and Filters out there. I replaced my stock intake system with this FIPK 57K-2nd gen series CAI and it was instantly noticeable. After a few days though, the computer kicked in and erased its gains...(but what can u say, it's stock)... but there is no slacking on K&N's side. If you put the money forth to really modify your car, than K&N is the way to go. Also on a side note be sure to upgrade that exhaust system, if the air cant get out as fast or faster than its coming in, there's no point. I equipped this on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L SLT, 2WD/RWD. Thanks for the great product K&N.

  I just purchased a series 57 FIPK for my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L V8.  WOW!!  I had just put a cat back exhaust system on it the week before and with your cold air intake I have awakened a sleeping giant!  Definitely has more power.  The engine runs smoother.  Waiting to see the effect on fuel economy.
