The K&N 57-1528 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Jeep Liberty models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1528 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, a ratchet set and an Allen wrench. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

I purchased and installed this air filter on my 2012 Jeep Liberty. The Jeep has 30,000 miles on it. I bought it new. I really hate this vehicle as I lost a good car to Storm Sandy. I did get a deal on the Jeep and so here I am with it. Anyway, after installing the air filter, the acceleration was definitely better. Much smoother running at high speed (60mph). The exhaust even sounds different. All in all a very good decision to install it.

My Jeep was sluggish on my commute and only got about 16.5mpg in mixed driving, so I was really interested in the K&N Intake Kit for my 2008 Liberty. The install took about two hours, mainly because it was very difficult to make out details in the example photos, and I had to build everything first before tightening all the fittings to ensure it would all sit and fit correctly under my hood. Once it was in place I took a quick test drive. AMAZING I now have so much power coming out of that little 3.6L engine, but I haven't put it on a dyno. Even my wife is impressed with the pick up that intake and filter provide. Now, my mileage has dropped a bit to 15.9 in mixed driving, but since it can now pass like my Oldsmobile Intrigue could, I'm probably driving much more aggressively than I realize.

Saw this product on a friend's Jeep Liberty. He couldn't say enough about it. More power, greater acceleration and better gas mileage. And the sound it makes when you kick it down. Took his word and ordered one. Took 90 minutes to install. Just like it says. Unbelievable Checked under the hood to make sure someone hadn't exchanged my six for an eight. The power, the sound, just like he described. Definitely worth the price. One last thought: your gas mileage will improve, unless you keep putting the pedal to the medal like I do. Oh that sound Happy Motoring.
