The K&N 57-1527-1 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1527-1 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points and accommodates the crank case vent hose. The tools needed are a screwdriver, diagonal cutters, ratchet set and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Customer Feedback

Just wanted to say thanks for such a great product. I have a '94 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup with a 3.9L V6 that was averaging about 19 mpg. After installing your FIPK kit, a high-performance muffler, and switching from the engine-mounted cooling fan to a radiator-mounted electric, I now get 23 mpg. Not to mention the AWESOME sound the FIPK kit makes.
Thanks,

I have used this product for years on Vehicle air filters. I've also used it on a Late Model Stock Car with our race team. It always worked well under those adverse conditions. So, it works very well on normal street cars. I will be using the filter oil on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a 2015 Dodge RT Hemi Challenger. I'm confident that it will work well, from previous experiences with this product.

I have been familiar with K&N Filters for many years. Have used them in various cars I have owned. I was with a Stock Car Racing Team (Late Model)and we always used K&N Filters. I was responsible for cleaning the filters for the air intake and the crankcase after every race. So, I know how they work. I have noticed that putting a K&N Filter on My 2015 Dodge RT Hemi Challenger has made the throttle response quicker than it already was. Plus, the sound of the engine is even more awesome than before. My wife and I were out for a drive last weekend and there was a VW Sedan messing around going 35 in a 55MPH zone, when the coast was clear, I hit it, and about stood the Challenger on end. You should have heard my wife. :-) The car only has 1400 miles on it, and the dealership said I'd really notice a difference in the way the car responds. It's almost scary at times. According to the computer in the car we have gained 1.5 MPG Average since I installed the filter. I am averaging 27.5 MPG out of this Hemi V-8 on the recommended 89 octane gasoline.
