The K&N 57-1514-1 FIPK air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1514-1 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized conical air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points and requires commonly available tools. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

I had been thinking about installing a K&N Air Intake on my 2000 Jeep Wranlger for the past few years and finally decided to buy one after seeing a few of them installed on some of my friends Jeeps. They all told me that they saw an immediate gain in HP, which comes in pretty handy on the trails, and increase in acceleration. It took me about an hour to install the intake on my Jeep and after making sure all my fittings were tight I hit the road and took a test drive. The noise from the additional air coming into the engine was very obvious and I noticed an immediate gain in my acceleration, even with 76,000 miles on my Jeep. I can't wait to see how my Jeep handles the trails this weekend with the additional HP. Great product and very simple installation. Keep up the good work K&N!!!

Since installation my driving has been limited to in and around town. I've yet to take a road trip and see if your K&N Air Filter increased my Passing Power or Gas Mileage. If you would like a follow-up, give me another 8 months and I'll let you know if I have noticed any improvements in Performance and/or Mileage.

I am very pleased, more power, and no problems!
