The K&N 57-1511-2 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Dodge Ram pickups models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Ram’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-1511-2 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the previous air box space. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The air intake system accommodates the factory crank case vent hose, EVAP assembly and A/C line. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points and requires commonly available tools. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Did exactly what I expected it to. Bought one for my Avenger a few years ago and loved it. Just recently bought this one for my Ram 1500 and its still just as great.

I installed the intake on my 2001 Dodge Ram. Truck sounded better and had a big difference in acceleration and how the truck runs. It gets up to speed a lot easier and I don't have to push the truck as hard to get it up to speed or to stay there.

Awesome product. UPS lost my original package and K&N overnighted me another one. Went together very easily. Definitely notice a performance boost.

I checked around here locally, but found the best price on line from K & N. Installation was easy and the 1999 Dodge Ram is still going strong.
