K&N 57i Series Induction Kits are specifically designed for each different vehicle and will free your car from the size restriction that comes with the factory air box. These economical kits can take a variety of different forms based on vehicle characteristics and available space under the hood. Each kit is designed to provide power throughout the RPM range. The extra surface area of these open-air air filters provide even more airflow at lower restriction than a K&N O/E replacement filter which is always limited to the size of the factory air box. The larger air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing its service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is either directly attached to the engine carburetor or throttle body or indirectly through a tube assembly running from the filter to the engine. All adapters are made from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon to ensure long life. 57i Intakes are not legal for use in California and other US States adopting California emission standards. Dear K&N team,
You encourage your customers to send you their results. So these are mine:

I am from southern Germany. I used to drive an old VW Golf from 1988. A few years ago I replaced the original foam filter with a K&N filter charger. Because I had driven the car a few years at that time I immediately recognized a slight improvement of performance; moreover, my car had more torque and needed less fuel. But the effect was really just above to be noticed.

Now I have a new car, brand new this time, a Toyota Yaris 1,0L. I replaced the original air filter after about 4000 kilometers with a K&N filter charger. I noticed during change that the K&N is VERY thin compared with the original filter (which is cotton too, I think). I even breathed through the original, what left me exhausted ;) because it was so thick. I never had any problems with the K&N filter while it was in my VW Golf, so I put that thin thing into my new car and took it for a ride. What shall I say? The effect was overwhelming. My car now has more torque, more power, goes faster AND needs less fuel. I know this sounds impossible, but it is true. I can drive 140 to 150 kilometers per hours with about 6,5 or even 6,0 liters of fuel! I calculated after a few weeks and I found out that my car now needs about 0,5 to 0,75 liters less fuel than before the filter change!

I will recommend K&N filters to all my friends & family. I should mention that the reason I bought K&N filters was in the first place for making my car more environment-friendly. That they did help me with for both of my cars.

Thank you very much for this high-quality product!

All the best & greetings from Germany,
Christian Daser, Traunstein, Germany
My friend who races go carts advised me on the K&N oil filters. This will be my second oil change using them on my 2006 Toyota 4 Runner. I can't tell how they are working but I trust my friend and will be using the K&N oil filters from now on.

I noticed a definite improvement in the Toyota Previa's performance when climbing long grades on the highway at altitude (around 8,000 feet and higher). It was encouraging and the supercharged V-4 engine seemed to be operating at its potential. I guess that's what freer breathing will do for you!
