K&N 57i Series Induction Kits are specifically designed for each different vehicle and will free your car from the size restriction that comes with the factory air box. These economical kits can take a variety of different forms based on vehicle characteristics and available space under the hood. Each kit is designed to provide power throughout the RPM range. The extra surface area of these open-air air filters provide even more airflow at lower restriction than a K&N O/E replacement filter which is always limited to the size of the factory air box. The larger air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing its service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is either directly attached to the engine carburetor or throttle body or indirectly through a tube assembly running from the filter to the engine. All adapters are made from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon to ensure long life. 57i Intakes are not legal for use in California and other US States adopting California emission standards.

I've been using these air filters for a long time. Everything from a 1.8 in a Honda Civic, 6.6 GMC diesel, and the 350 in my Corvette, you can feel the power increase in the seat of your pants. Never a technical problem. I get one for every vehicle I obtain.

Product arrived quickly, and was easy to install. Great instructions with pictures included for clarification. Took about an hour on my Challenger Hellcat. Supercharger whine is amplified by about 5-10 times, but with the air cleaner right under the hood vent, very understandable. Performance checked only by my seat of the pants dyno but definite increase in power. If you thought it was tough keeping the tires hooked on launch before....Only complaint with the system is that it should have included the filter cover with the kit. If this kit is being built for the Hellcat, then it is going to be needed unless the car is a garage queen.

The 71-1561, 2009-2014 Ram 1500 and 2013-2014 Ram 2500 V8-5.7L HEMI, is a great mod for your RAM with instant results The instructions were good but some points I would like to share. I installed this induction system Friday the 13th of June, 2014. UPDATE: Re-installed on my 2015 RAM Sport Reference the IAT, Inlet Air Temperature, sensor two things to note. (1) Handle with care and confirm no debris on the end of the sensor, my application was blue in color. (2) Orientation of the IAT sensor should be in line with the flow of air inside the tube. Just take note how the IAT is positioned on the OEM intake tube when removing. I applied a very small amount of petroleum jelly on the oring, confirm you seat the IAT fully into the grommet and in the correct orientation. As far as the intake tube fitting many are complaining that they have broken, stating is cheap, etc., contacted K&N, which they have replaced for no charge great customer service BTW But if you follow the instructions it states the following: Plastic NPT (National Pipe Thread?) fittings are easy to cross thread. Install the vent fitting 'hand' tight then turn it two complete turns with a wrench. I used the box end with no problems/issues. The fitting will show approximately 3 threads left and I feel installers observe this and crank it down & snap the fitting. Bottom line of course is to take the time to read the instructions completely, then confirm parts and organize, then start with step 1 and have fun. Make it a slow process and enjoy the moment of your installation of your new mod Then as you stand back admiring your work, treat yourself to your favorite beverage.
