K&N 57i Series Induction Kits are specifically designed for each different vehicle and will free your car from the size restriction that comes with the factory air box. These economical kits can take a variety of different forms based on vehicle characteristics and available space under the hood. Each kit is designed to provide power throughout the RPM range. The extra surface area of these open-air air filters provide even more airflow at lower restriction than a K&N O/E replacement filter which is always limited to the size of the factory air box. The larger air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing its service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is either directly attached to the engine carburetor or throttle body or indirectly through a tube assembly running from the filter to the engine. All adapters are made from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon to ensure long life. 57i Intakes are not legal for use in California and other US States adopting California emission standards. Just installed a drop-in filter in my 2003 Sierra 2500HD 3/4Ton 6.6 Turbo Diesel. Was getting about 19.1 MPG with a new paper filter. With K & N getting 22.6 under the same conditions. GM Diesel's tend to do better than the competition. But, needless to say I am impressed. And all the BS about the filter's causing problems with the truck's electronics seems to be just that, BS! Wish I hadn't listened to that service advisor who liked selling me filters for so long. And, the sad part about the deal, is that it took a Ford Guy to finally sell me on the K & N. :-)

In conclusion, I'm sold on K & N for life.

I have two K&N air filters for my 1985 Honda 200x 3 wheeler; one that fits in the stock air box and another that, when I am feeling like going a little faster or need to keep up more, clamps directly to my carburetor and also a 14" by 3" air filter on my 1979 Ford F-150. And I love them. I will not run anything else. I don't trust anything else especially with all the money I have invested in each motor. I can definitely tell the difference it makes in the performance. I had my 3 wheeler clocked in at 67 mph with a "BRAND NAME REMOVED" air filter and then put the K&N that goes in my air box and it clocked at 69. I like them so much I talked my dad into buying the FIPK for his 1998 GMC Sierra and it definitely helped and was extremely easy to install. The exhaust tone was deeper instantly and it had noticeable throttle response. I found out when I bought my dad's Kawasaki Mojave 250 from him. It had a "BRAND NAME REMOVED" air filter on it, and I do not like them anyway. Just thinking about whatever is going through that foam is going into my engine, so I replaced it with a clamp on K&N that next day. Well, as long as you continue making high quality, high performance air filters I will continue to buy them.

Great stuff, great price. My first kit lasted about 15 applications which is less than a buck per time. Just apply the cleaner and rinse off. Let the filter dry and spray on the oil and you're done. Easier than driving to the store to get another air filter which I will never do again. Can only imagine how much money I've saved never having to buy another air filter over the years. Not to mention the increased air flow, which you can literally feel when you install for the first time, which increases performance. Over 128,000 miles and counting. My K&N filter is helping my Ford Ranger get to my goal of 200,000. Thanks guys.
