K&N powersports oil filters contain a modern synthetic filter media, designed for ultimate flow with less pressure drop, yet engineered for outstanding filtration. K&N powersports 'spin-on' oil filters feature a heavy-duty metal can. Most of these have a 17 mm nut affixed onto the end that allows for easy installation and removal. The 17 mm nut is crossed-drilled so racers can safety wire the filter to their bike.

Two positive features of this filter are 1: All chrome and 2: Socket nut on the end for easy removal. When you have a custom bike chrome is a nice feature. The nut on the end takes away the need for bulky tools to remove the filter. I've purchased K&N filters for my bike for many years and have had great results and performance.

Until I can purchase the reusable filter, this is the only one I use. Great product at a great price.

I did my oil change last week, but haven't had a chance to ride yet (the weather of course...). K&N service is great and fast. I bought this filter for my HD '09 deluxe, and one for my boyfriend's '07 Sportster XL 1200 Custom. It was my first time doing my own oil change, but I found, with a little help from YouTube, that it was pretty easy. He hasn't done his change yet. I know this to be a superior product so I am happy with it. The only issue that came up was that I had an original HD filter on, so, I only had the wrench for the HD filter to remove it. But I didn''t have one to install the K&N one, or the hex one, so I had a strong guy hand-tighten it. This is probably common knowledge but I'm just mentioning it to help anyone else new to oil changes. Thanks again K&N.

The nut on the outside of filter makes it easy to turn on and off. The more finite filtration compared to original OEM brand is highly desired. 5 star rating my viewpoint.
