K&N air intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle's engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The filters on these kits are washable and reusable. Most of our intake kits are relatively easy to install using tools commonly available (see installation instructions). 63 Series Intakes are street legal in most states. Easy to install (63-3070). Great instructions and the installation video is excellent. My 3rd or 4th K&N system, and of course they get more complicated as the vehicles modernize. But this one was all too simple. Thanks for great engineering.

In the past I have used K&N FIPK systems and gained modest acceleration and a modest increase in HP. My 2011 Chevy Avalanche now has a new FIPK system and what a complete change from the stock air box. Acceleration has doubled, no more lag time in acceleration. The sound change alone should get a person excited. It sounds mean. It's too early to tell about an increase in gas mileage but that I'm sure will depend on my driving habits. I highly recommend this system to those of you who think stock is okay or anyone who may doubt this system. Go for it You will love it.
