K&N air intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. I just bought this K&N oil filter (HP-3001) yesterday at an autoparts store and they helped me with finding the right K&N oil filter for my 2000 Ford Ranger to go with my K&N air filter.

I wish I'd put the KN air intake system on my 2001 Ford Ranger 11 years ago. Although Ive always liked the truck, I'd always been disappointed in the 2.5 liter's throttle response. Now, with the air intake system installed, my truck actually responds to the throttle like it's supposed to, with no dead spots at any time. I can't recommend KN highly enough. Thank you.

I just wanted to take a little time to contact KN and say thank you for such a great product. Since buying the complete air intake system I have seen a huge difference in the performance of my 1999 Ford Ranger 4.0 Prerunner. I will always use the kn product in the future with all of my vehicles now that I have seen how a KN filter helps the performance of my Ranger. I will also highly recommend it to anyone who will be looking for a quality air filter going forward.
