K&N 57i Series Induction Kits are specifically designed for each different vehicle and will free your car from the size restriction that comes with the factory air box. These economical kits can take a variety of different forms based on vehicle characteristics and available space under the hood. Each kit is designed to provide power throughout the RPM range. The extra surface area of these open-air air filters provide even more airflow at lower restriction than a K&N O/E replacement filter which is always limited to the size of the factory air box. The larger air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing its service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is either directly attached to the engine carburetor or throttle body or indirectly through a tube assembly running from the filter to the engine. All adapters are made from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon to ensure long life. 57i Intakes are not legal for use in California and other US States adopting California emission standards. My BMW 5 series station wagon, 5 speed, would not back up my driveway uphill if the a/c was turned on. Once I installed the K&N filter into the OEM airbox, the car easily backed up the hill.

Thats the difference of running a race with cotton up your nose or not.

I have a 1998 BMW M3 with your K&N Intake system, and I LOVE your intake, the installment was very easy, instructions were clear and very helpful for those not mechanically inclined, and the intake fits well. I can feel the extra power gained from the intake and my gas mileage improved from 18.9 to 20.9 MPG. If you have a BMW M3/328/325, this is the intake to have!

I added your filter and intake tube to my BMW 325i and am more than pleased. The growl is great and it removed a low down flat spot and added a little more kick but the best bit is it improved my fuel economy by at least 1.2L per 100km, a savings of about $1.60+ per 100km. It will pay for itself in the not too distant future. I have always had a K&N filters in my cars over the years and recommend them to everyone
