K&N 57i Series Induction Kits are specifically designed for each different vehicle and will free your car from the size restriction that comes with the factory air box. These economical kits can take a variety of different forms based on vehicle characteristics and available space under the hood. Each kit is designed to provide power throughout the RPM range. The extra surface area of these open-air air filters provide even more airflow at lower restriction than a K&N O/E replacement filter which is always limited to the size of the factory air box. The larger air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing its service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is either directly attached to the engine carburetor or throttle body or indirectly through a tube assembly running from the filter to the engine. All adapters are made from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon to ensure long life. 57i Intakes are not legal for use in California and other US States adopting California emission standards. Dear K&N,

I recently fitted a 57i (induction) kit to my BMW Mini Cooper and all I can say is WOW!!! The kit is so easy to fit thanks to comprehensive instructions with colour pictures. The power delivery is now so much smoother and quicker and the sound made by the kit makes the MINI sound the way it always should have, an amazing low and deep burble!! And there's more.. before I fitted the 57i kit I was getting a poor 31mpg.. now I'm getting over 40mpg with the same driving style. I have always been a supporter of K&N products and always will be.

Just a quick note to thank you for the air filter for my Citroen C5 2.2 HDi. Fuel consumption was up to over 40mpg with much better throttle response and acceleration. I installed a K&N Air Filter in our 2003 Mini Cooper about 1 Year ago. What a difference it made. The hesitation that I had when I gave it the Gas is gone. The Gas Mileage, which was Great to begin with, also improved. I was so impressed that when we bought Our New 2005 Saturn Quad Cope Last week for our second Car I bought a K&N Air Filter for it & installed it the 3rd day after the purchase. Now our Mini & our Saturn have the Best Air Filter in them. The vehicle we traded in for the Saturn also had a K&N Filter. It is a Great Product. Thanks.
