Excellent Results
Just wanted to drop a line to let you know how pleased I am with my K&N FIPK. As soon as I opened the box, I noticed how detailed the installation instructions were. I followed the instructions step-by-step, and they covered absolutely everything I ran into during the installation (pictures were great, too). Too many times aftermarket part installation instructions are vague, at best, but yours were perfect! Everything went together as specified, no missing parts, clear instructions, and immediately noticeable power increase.

One happy customer,

I put a FIPK Gen II in my Blazer. What a difference. The increase in HP is noticeable off the line and on the freeway. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to improve the performance of the Chevy Blazer.

I purchased a K&N HA1330 for my Honda VTX 1300 Retro stock air box. The installation was very easy as the new air filter fit perfectly. On my first ride, I was astonished at the additional performance I received. My bike idled better when cold and the improved acceleration was very noticeable. I would recommend a K&N filter replacement for all stock filers.

Never heard of your reputation before today, but with friends advice I installed the 33-2175 air filter into my 1999 Dodge Dakota. Wow! From the moment I started the truck, I could hear and feel more power. No more hesitation during shifting, and a clean, effortless drive.

Very Happy, thanks,

I own a 1997 Mustang, 3.8L engine with about 70,000 miles on it. I was experiencing a hesitation at low speeds and the engine did not seem to be getting enough air until I was already in 3rd going into OD. I decided to spend the money on a K&N filter after a co-worker bought one for his Ram Truck and told me how much it improved his performance. I did not believe an air filter would do to my car what he was saying it would. After buying it and installing it, I could not believe how much your air filter has improved my car's performance. The hesitation is gone and so is the $20 I bet my friend Bob Cobbleson that the filter would not remove the hesitation. Great product, Thanks

Excellent product
I own a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD with a 5.2L V8. I had been hesitating buying one of these air filters, mainly because it is $50.00. Well, I purchased one today and installed it. After taking it for a test drive, I could not believe the difference it makes. My engine now sounds like it doesn't have to work as hard and there is no hesitation in acceleration. Also, the rpm's when idling went from approx. 800 to about 600. I'll be checking my gas mileage over the next couple of weeks to see what kind of increase I will have. Keep up the good work.

P.S., I'll be buying one for my Buick Century as soon as I can.

I have put the K&N filter on my 2003 VW GTI 1.8T. I have felt such a big difference in speed and acceleration. It's made my car sound a little better with my exhaust. Both of these products have made my car fast. But I must say that the Filter I got was def. a great buy!! I hope you post this on your site!!!!

Approx. 6 months ago I purchased a drop in Filtercharger filter for my 1994 Ford F150 Pickup. This vehicle is equipped with the non-mass air Inline 6 (300 CI). Within 100 miles of installing this filter I noticed approx a 1 MPG increase and when cruising or towing on the highway I feel as if I have gained a significant amount of power. The addition of a free flowing exhaust has also made a definite increase in performance, but simply the filter alone made it worth the $50 I spent. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Thanks for making such a great product!

I own a 1996 Honda Civic EX with almost 110,000 miles on it. A few months ago I was becoming frustrated at its ever decreasing gas mileage (26 and dropping). I found it needed new plugs, which brought it to 29 average, but I demanded more. At this point I decided to spend the money and buy a FilterCharger for it. Much to my surprise, it felt like a new car and had phenomenal power again once the filter was installed. When the VTEC kicks in, it really pulls ya into the seat, and best of all, I could get 33 mpg driving 3 miles to work. It gets upwards of 36 on the highway now.

I was so pleased with the filter that my father bought one for his 2002 CR-V. The difference was even more astounding on his vehicle. With AWD he can break all four tires free on dry pavement-in an automatic-something it would never do before (he was driving). He even gets 27 mpg on a vehicle that the EPA says should get 22/26.
Thanks again for such a great product.

I installed a K&N air filter at approximately 12,000 miles to avoid the lifetime replacement costs of the stock filters. I'm sorry that I waited so long. One of the things that I discovered when I purchased this vehicle was that it really gets horrible gas mileage (10-12 city 12-14 highway) for the size vehicle it is (2 door 2wd). I saw no improvement the first month, but someone told me it would take the computer a while to adjust. It did. WOW! I now get approx 14mpg in town and just recently got 20mpg on my last complete tank of gas. In the last 10 months or so this filter has paid for itself several times over. It is amazing to me what a difference a filter can make..........

I own a 2000 VW Jetta 1.8TDI. I just came back from a test drive after installing the K&N filter to replace the OEM and I already noticed quite a difference in power. The great thing about this filter was that it took about 10 minutes to install and the rewards were awesome.

I use the car for business purposes and am currently getting approx 62 mpg. I hope to do even better with the new filter.

Only one thing I can say to sum up...."a lot of bang for your buck". I will be putting one in my 4 Runner ASAP.

I bought a 98 Astro van 1-1/2years ago. During that time it's seen a lot of highway miles averaging 24 mpg with the paper filter. I decided that replacing the filter( @ $12.00/paper) was a waste of money and decided to purchase a K&N. The only reason I didn't do it sooner is the $75.00 initial purchase price (Canadian). I can tell you now, that was a VERY big mistake waiting like I did. I now get 26mpg highway and it paid for itself in 4 months. The only complaint I have is K&N does not make an air intake system to compliment its filter for 98 Astro Vans. With gas prices currently (Edmonton) at $3.00/gallon (sometimes higher) I know for a fact that item would sell. Anything (almost) to help with power production and increase fuel mileage would be an asset here.

Update on my July 15, 2003 submission to K & N on my results

To Whom IT May Concern,
I must say that I am very impressed with your product. When I installed part number 33-2277 on my 2003 Honda Accord EX V6, I initially tested its performance on a closed track. Well after some additional testing recently, something interesting was discovered. On a certified Dyno machine, the stock wheel horse power and torque increased from 204.5 hp and 180.7 ft/lbs to 216.3 hp and 191.4 ft/lbs! The flywheel horse power rating at 240 hp is likely 250 hp using the standard calculations. What was most interesting is how the power curve changed. The engine developed a flatter torque curve with a peak at 4,750 rpm as opposed to the 5,000 rpm stock reading. The same results followed with the horse power delivery. I don't believe hype, so the math results tell the story. After using this product for 90 days, I re-tested the performance results at the same track, and here is what happened:

0-60 7.0 seconds stock

0-60 6.87 seconds K & N installed July 2003

0-60 6.63 seconds K & N after 90 days

1/4 mile 15.5 seconds @ 92 mph stock

1/4 mile 15.1 seconds @ 94.2 mph K & N installed July 2003

1/4 mile 14.8 seconds @ 97.8 mph K & N after 90 days

Top Speed (certified with a calibrated and properly operated radar gun)

138 mph stock

143 mph K & N installed July 2003

146 mph K & N after 90 days

Gas Mileage (measured with the on-board Honda Navigation and mileage calculators)

25.0 mpg city, 31.0 mpg highway stock

26.0 mpg city, 33.5 mpg highway K & N installed July 2003

26.4 mpg city, 33.7 mpg highway K & N after 90 days

Note: When the testing was being completed, the gas mileage for that day was 17.2 mpg. Obviously, this type of driving was not usual and customary, and thus was not included in the overall gas mileage calculations.

Additional testing was conducted and across the board increases in performance in 5-60, 20-40, 30-50, and 0-100 mph tests were very apparent. I have discussed my findings with some Honda experts and they say that part of the results should be credited to the on board computers for the car. They say that engine computers have likely remapped the fuel/air mixtures to take advantage of the new levels of air available in the intake as a result of the use of your product. This makes sense to me. My neighbor installed a K & N filter in his BMW M5 and ZO6 Corvette and saw similar performance increases. I hope that anyone who reads this testimonial understands that these results are facts, that should be easily repeatable with other vehicles.

I got my '03 Chevy Silverado 4.8 a month ago. Within 2 weeks I put a FIPK II on it and it was like a totally different truck. Pulling out after installation, my first great impression was the sound of my truck. It gave it a nice and powerful sound and excellent power boost! I haven't quite figured out the mpg gain but there is one! I haven't had my first oil change but you better believe I'll be putting a K&N on!! -Thanks for a great product

I have a 1989 Acura Integra with 237,000 kilometers (147,000 miles), which anyone who knows me personally, is a car I thoroughly enjoy and pride on maintaining and ensuring everything is working at peak performance. Like most Honda vehicles, it loves to rev and rev high to reach its peak performance!

Going through my service records this week I realized I was overdue for a new air filter. After years of seeing your product ads, I decided I would give it a try. I removed the old stock filter, which was quite dirty and dusty and carefully put in my new K&N and went for a drive. In a word: Sweet!

Of all the years I've owned the vehicle, I have never felt this type of throttle response above 4000 rpm which is normally where the power is for this highly compressed car! With the K&N, mid range throttle response was just superb. The response was instantaneous and ran so effortlessly. The improved acceleration was very noticeable to me! Just love it!

Hi there,
I recently installed a generation 2 FIPK in my 5 speed 2001 Mustang GT . I didn't expect much since I had already installed a K&N Filtercharger and removed the air silencer, but sure enough, the FIPK produced a power difference I could feel. That 2nd gear shift makes a much louder chirp now!

Thanks for the ponies,

I have been using K&N air filters for many years. I have used them in 1978 Mercury, 1987 Jeep Wagoneer, 1976 Ford F150, 1982 Ford Conversion Van, 1990-1994 and 1996 Dodge Grand Caravans, 1997 Dodge Dakota. 1997 Polaris 4x4, 1982 Silverwing 1971- 1973 Cub Cadet 12hp mowers. The least MPG I have seen in any of these applications was 1.1 MPG and my Dakota was 3.6 MPG and the service vehicles (mowers and 4wheeler) are all easier to start and show real improvements when working. I put between 30,000 to 40,000 miles on a year in all types of conditions. The 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan we own right now has 207,000 miles on it and it uses NO oil (a testament to a good filtration) has good response when accelerating and still beats the listed MPG for when it was new with K&N air filter in place. Recently while attending a tradeshow in Terre Haute, Indiana K&N had a booth set up. I asked the gentleman about a FIPK for my 97 Dakota with the 3.9L and it is currently not listed as available, BUT he gave me the K&N toll free number and a ladies name to speak with. I left a message on her voice mail and she actually called me back the same day! (highly unusual from most companies) She is at this moment researching to see if one is going to be available soon.... Not only can I highly recommend the product but I can now truly recommend the employees of K&N. Another great thing about the gentleman at the booth was when discussing the oil filters he would not discredit or put down any competitor. He told me facts and let me draw my own conclusion. (Oil change is on my list of things to do next week complete with K&N filter #HP2004) I can see that I can actually get the life out of the synthetic oil I use without the fear of the filter breaking down as quickly and with the extra heavy canister no more torn up cans trying to get them off the vehicle, just use a wrench!

Although I currently own only few of the vehicles I listed above and have never had the opportunity to test the 10 year 1 Million mile warranty I would have to say that this is fact! not hype. Why?

* The quality of the product? Superior, every application I have tried has been a real success!
* The ease of finding the right part? Website makes this so easy this saves allot of time at the parts store, and if in doubt call the 1-800. The availability of finding a filter by size instead of application makes it
a snap to get filters for mowers and other odd equipment. Then find a good dealer from the website.
* The people? Outstanding! Employees don't offer this level of service and friendliness without having a company that supports them. K&N has not tried to sell me what might work only what is proven!

I look forward to using your filters as long as you make them.

I purchased a 2000 Ford E-150 Conversion Van in December of 2000. The first thing I did was replace the stock air filter with a K & N filter. The performance and gas mileage for a 7500 lb van is amazing. At 75 MPH with out the A/C running, I obtain 17 MPG. With the A/C going I receive 16.2 MPG. Thanks for all the R & D your company invests into your products.

Purchased my air filter about 4 years ago for my 94 Chevy Cavalier. I was averaging about 28mpg and when I installed the filter I gained about 4 extra miles. This product is well worth the cost and I will continue to purchase these filters for future cars that I own. Great Product!!!

I must say I was skeptical at what an air filter could actually do for me. Now that I have switched and had the K&N filter in my Explorer for just over a week now I can actually tell a difference in take off, power, and gas mileage. We took a trip that was a 6 hour drive both ways, I didn't keep track of how many miles it was, however I did check my mileage. Before I was getting 16 mpg on the highway, and on our trip we were averaging 19 mpg. My explorer is a 93 with 173,000 miles on it too, so it is not a new one by any means. I have actually been very impressed with the performance and I have been telling my friends. With a product that really works how it says it will, I don't mind putting the decal sticker on my back window and giving you some free advertising.

I have used your filters for some time, primarily for increased performance in my Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Any Harley owner who has not completed the H-D Stage One upgrade (K&N Air Filter, carb re-jet/EFI adjustment and low-resistance exhaust) is not taking full advantage of their bike's performance capabilities. The K&N High Flow Air Filter is a pivotal part of this important upgrade. I also use the chrome K&N oil filters and synthetic 20W50 in my Evolution and Twin-Cam powered bikes for the ultimate in lubrication and wear protection. I especially like the back flow valve that helps prevent dry starts.

Of course, K&N filters are also used on my 2003 GMC Sierra HD pickup for the same reasons. Keep up the good work in producing top-notch performance filters.

To K&N, I started using your air filter on my 2000 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide when it had 0 miles on it. I am a certified Harley Davidson Technician. It gave me the easiest and fastest (installment wise) zip to my Bike. Yes sir, If any one wants to know how to get that extra! kick in acceleration and long road performance, I suggest your Air Filters. Plus they are reusable. Just buy the cleaning kit and there you go, good for 10 years or the million miles. I've only just now noticed you have oil filters for my Harley. Am definitely going to try one of those. My Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 has your air filter and oil filter. I should buy your stock, are you open to the public? Thanks K&N.

Attention all S2000 lovers - get yourself a K&N now. I put one in my Honda a few months ago and the increase in both gas mileage and horsepower is definitely noticeable. On top of that, that's one less part to buy when you service your vehicle.

I take my S2000 out in the mountains quite frequently, and I've noticed a increase in acceleration when I need to go from about 20 - 60 mph in a hurry. If you love your car like I love mine, put in a K&N now. It's easy, and it's only 3X the cost of a paper filter - it pays for itself in only two years. Thanks K&N!

I just purchased a K&N Filter for my 97 Dodge Caravan. Immediately I noticed an improvement in performance and after putting on 1800 kilometers on our trip this week, I can honestly say that our family Caravan had a dramatic increase in fuel economy. It has already paid for itself. I would be happier if you made a Fuel Injection Performance kit for the Dodge Caravan so us family types can attain more benefits from K&N. Great product!!!

I started using your filters in 1998. I had a 96 Ford Explorer that needed some power. It had a 4.0 and auto trans. I installed your filter and was amazed at the difference. I have installed your filter on every vehicle since: 99 Explorer 4.0 auto, 2001 Expedition 4.6 auto, 1996 F250 5.8 auto.
AWESOME product. I recommend to all my friends and family.

I have always heard about K&N filters but honestly was a little skeptical that I would see that much difference, boy was I wrong. I have a 2002 Hyundai Accent GS. The first drive to work with my new filter was great! The car is more responsive during take off and generally just feels more powerful (and even sounds cool too). I am anxious to check my gas mileage at my next trip to the pump. Now I will certainly buy a K&N filter for my '67 Impala as well. Thanks for a great product!

Oil companies must hate you guys!

I have had your stock replacement filter for my 2000 Toyota Tundra SR5 (4wd extended cab V8) in for over 6 months now. I have always believed in your product and have had them on other vehicles. I have to say that on the Tundra, I have been most impressed. EPA rates the Tundra at 14/17 mpg. I have not seen anything less than 15 around town, and usually it is about 16. On the highway is another story, I recently took a 400 mile trip, and when I filled the tank I was surprised to see that my Tundra had gotten slightly more than 20 mpg! This was with the A/C on and averaging a speed of about 70. I just wanted to write in and reassure other Tundra owners that it really does work. With the fuel savings I estimate that the filter paid for itself in the first 6 months. Maybe you should work with auto manufacturers and get your product to be OEM.

I am a loyal and long time user of F&N Air filters. I have been using K&N air filters in my vehicles since the mid 70's. I recently installed the FIPK in my 97 Grand Caravan 3.8L. As expected it made a noticeable difference in both performance and MPG. My throttle response in both the low and mid RPM greatly improved. My average MPG went from 18.5 to 21.0 MPG. As a 35 year auto mechanic and former racer I recommend K& N to all my customers, friends and relatives.

I've had the first gen 57i kit into my Peugeot 206 GTi for almost 3 years now, absolutely great product. The sound is awesome, the well positioned filter avoids hot air which preserved low speed performance, and it kicks other OE airbox equipped 206's all the way on acceleration after 100mph! It's so great now I am considering upgrade to Gen II!

Hi K&N,
I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 w/ a 6.0L Vortec 6000 engine, and a 3.73 rear gear that I use to tow a travel trailer with an all-up weight of around 3900 lbs. A month ago my wife and I made a week-end camping trip, with a total distance of 280 miles over hilly terrain. Last week-end, we made the same trip, this time with a K&N air filter installed. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! The truck climbed the hills much easier, and down-shifted less than with the paper air filter. And the fuel mileage!! The first trip, I needed to put in a quarter tank of fuel to make it home (36 gallon tank). This time, we made the round trip on a single tank. Saving eight gallons of gas @ $1.58 a gallon on one trip, seems to me that this filter won't take long to pay for itself!!
Thanks for a great product!

GL-1800 air filters, and the mileage tests

Larry, this is Michael LaDue, and you and I spoke on the phone yesterday regarding my success with the K & N air filter for my 2003 GL-1800 Honda.

After we spoke, I then went out to my shop, removed the air filter that now has 67,000 miles on it, and proceeded to clean & re-oil the used filter. Once this was done, I reinstalled the used filter back into the back, and reassembled the bike.

BTW, it was 106 degrees in our area yesterday, and I have no A/C in my shop.

My observations of the filter once I opened up the air box was that the filter looked much the same as the stock (Honda) air filter did, after it only had 24,000 miles on it. The difference was that this K & N filter has 67,000 miles on it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I did not have the world's largest collection of dead bees inside my air box, but the few butterflies did make it a bit more colorful.

I carefully removed the used K & N filter, making sure to keep the debris out of the inner part of the air box. Again, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the inner sanctum of the air box was relatively clean, with only a slight oil (breather) residue. This gives incredible credit to the quality of the K & N air filter, as it was proven that the air filter did indeed filter out 100 % of the debris that came in contact with the outside (side) of the filter. There was no doubt that this filter would need cleaning, after all...it has 67,000 miles on it, in 4 months.

That is right...67,000 miles in the past 4 months.

So, I cleaned the air filter exactly as I was instructed to do so by the instructions that came with the K & N filter Cleaning/Oiling kit. If you follow the directions to a tee, the process works like a charm, and is quite easy.

Once the filter was cleaned, and dried, I did re-oil the filter. While the filter was in the process of drying, I utilized this time to thoroughly clean out the inner air box, and the throttle plates of my intake system on the bike. Having been an ASE Certified Master Technician for the past 30 years, and having owned my own shop for a number of years, I am quite meticulous when it comes to cleaning a fuel injected throttle plate. When I was very satisfied that the air box and throttle plates were as clean as I could get them, I then reinstalled the air filter (freshly oiled) back into the air box, installed the top of the air box, and then reassembled the bike.

Start the bike up, and it purrs like a P-51 Mustang on the flight deck.

As a rider that has documented the completion of more than 1.5 million miles of riding...has set or broken 4 World Records this year so far, and is a Gear Head with more than 30 years experience, having taught at Voc.Tech colleges on the subjects of Automotive Fuel Injection systems, I feel that I am well qualified to state that the K & N air filter has (more) than proven itself to me, and to those that ride with me.

My point to that is...these spark plugs are directly influenced by the performance of the air filter. If my air filter works perfectly, then it allows my spark plugs to works as best as they can, if all other influences are correct, meaning injection spray, etc.

There is no doubt in my mind that the K & N air filter was the correct filter for this GL-1800 GoldWing. Rather than replacing the Honda stock air filter every 12,000-16,000 miles as Honda recommends, I find that I can keep a K & N air filter in my bike for at least 50,000-60,000 miles without worry of whether the filter is getting dirty or not.

And that K & N air filter was with me 100 % of the time, providing me with 100 % performance. I love it !!!

I have previously installed your product in a '86 Fiero GT. I have recently put your filter in my 2002 SVT Focus. This product just keeps getting better and better. The acceleration and power I had between 3,000 and 4,000 rpms is now felt between 2,000 and 3,000 rpms. Acceleration in sixth gear now feels more like a passing gear on an automatic transmission. Since the red line is reached more quickly after 4,000 rpm there has been a learning curve in my shift points. If you ever decide to do testing on the east coast, I have your car. One more thing...when I keep my foot out of it, I have gained about five more miles per gallon. Keep up the good work!

I never thought an air filter could make such a difference in engine performance. Since it was new, my 96 Ford E150 conversion van (5.8L engine) had a rough idle and occasionally stalled due to EGR activity. I put in a K&N filter and the van's idle is now silky-smooth, and the filter has eliminated any EGR roughness or stalling. I also am getting around 0.5 more mpg. My compliments.

Update - I installed an FIPK on my 02 F150 back in Feb of 03. I travel 5 states selling heavy equipment and record my mileage for tax reasons as well as fuel and maintenance. I used to get 15.5 to 15.9 mpg. Since I have installed the FIPK I have had readings as high as 17.9 but generally 17.3 mpg... Normal MPH is 70-75. I have since started using a K&N 2010 Oil Filter. Thank You for the products!

Installed K&N FIPK II on a 1998 C2500 Suburban w/7.4 liter engine. The affect was dramatic on acceleration and mileage. I went from ~10 mpg to 11.5 mpg, and I have additional HP and torque if I need them. I am even using your oil filter now. I have been a loyal customer since I installed one your air filters on my 84 RX GSL-SE, in 1987. Keep up the GREAT research and development.

Amazing, I installed the filter before going on a 200 mile highway trip. I felt a noticeable change in the acceleration of the vehicle. Though, the most significant change I noticed was in my fuel economy; which was 10% better than normal. When you drive a large V-8 any gains at the pump are well appreciated. I am purchasing one for my wife's Explorer TODAY!!!!!! Great Product!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic! I just installed your FIPK II kit in my 2003 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 engine. As soon as I took her out for a test run I could feel dramatic increases in throttle response, acceleration and overall HP. I am recommending this product to all my friends!

K&N filter installed on Arctic Cat
Just wanted to let you know the K&N air filter I installed on my 454 Arctic Cat ATV made a world of difference in performance. Also installed your jet kit and after fine tuning, am getting much better fuel mileage and don't use up sparkplugs like crazy as it did before. It has much better low end torque to boot. Thanks for a great product. By the way, who is the rock band in those fantastic commercials with Frank Pedregon and Jim Dunn? Big NHRA fan here, and would love to buy the CD of that group.

Thanks again

I just installed one of your Filterchargers in my 1972 Volvo 1800ES, a car that's legendary for being rough and difficult due to its primitive fuel injection. I previously had trouble at low throttle and low RPM, when the car would chug and buck back and forth. It turns out the engine just had asthma! In only a few minutes, I removed the old airbox and clamped the new filter right on where the hose to the old filter was. It's not bucking anymore, it's surging forward at all RPM (right up to the 6500 redline), and it has a wonderful oboe-like induction sound. It even idles smoother. For the money and effort involved (a few minutes and under $30), there's no better performance investment I could have made. Thanks for making my old sports car sportier.

Before using the K&N Air Filter on my BMW 2002 325Ci I was consistently getting 400 miles a fill-up. Since the installation I am averaging 425. Once I got 445. Plus I got a few extra ponies from the throttle.

I'm impressed! I purchased part number 33-2277 for my 2003 Honda Accord EX V6. While my gas mileage and power was more than sufficient before, after the installation of your product, my gas mileage increased from a consistent 25 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway to 26 mpg in the city, and 33.5 mpg on the highway at 75 mph! (with the AC on) Throttle response is even sharper with the throttle-by-wire as factory installed. My performance figures are as follows before and after the installation of your product 0-60 7.0 seconds stock, now 6.87. Quarter mile times dropped from 15.5 seconds at 92 mph to 15.1 seconds at 94.2 mph. Top speed on a closed race track increased from 138 mph to 143 mph. The only additional change that I completed with the addition of your product was to switch my engine oil to synthetic. My mechanic believes that my horsepower likely increased from 240 hp to 245. Great job in your product development. Keep up the good work!

Dear K&N,
I installed your drop-in air filter last month in my 2001 Chrysler 300M. After a week of playing with it, I wanted to see if the mpg was any better. Well, after a couple tanks of gas, I can say that I'm getting 1 1/2 more around town and 4 more on the highway. I also have (best guess) 5-7 more horsepower. Your filter is the best $50 I've spent on my car. Now, I can't wait to buy a FIPK! Thanks for a great product.

K&N is worth the Price!
I investigated and researched the K&N product for some time before purchasing one. I said to myself that if it worked out well for me, I would write a thank you for others to read. So here I am and here's my story.

I love Nissan trucks and everything about them except that they put too small of an engine in them which results in only OK fuel economy. Being a college student, I need to go as far on the least amount of gas. So I saved some gas money, $55 which is 11 times the price of a basic paper filter and bought a K&N filter. Now don't go getting ahead of me with the high price, I'm getting there. I put the filter in and took it for a spin. I knew the engine was breathing better immediately because 65 mph is usually running 3500 rpm and at the same speed now runs between 3000 and 3100 rpm. So how does this result in gas you ask? I used to be able to travel exactly 200 miles on a full tank of gas which was 15.5 mpg and with just the air filter I can go 235 miles on a tank which is about 17.5 mpg. According to my math the air filter that cost 11 times as much paid for itself in 6.33 tanks of gas which is less than a month for me. Now I'm making money on it. Simply put, K&N is worth the price, but you guys probably already knew that.

Thanks again,

I recently purchased a K&N air filter for my 92 Volkswagen Jetta diesel. It is naturally aspirated and with only 52 hp I will take any improvement I can get. I immediately noticed a difference in mid range throttle response and the engine does not feel anywhere near as sluggish as before. I also noticed about a 4 mpg improvement in mileage which is fantastic as I was already getting around 46-47mpg and I am now getting 50-51mpg. Excellent value for the dollar. I only wish I had bought one sooner.

I wanted to let you know that I've had a good experience with your Filtercharger on my 91 Ford Explorer. It has the old pushrod engine which makes days of torque but only 155hp. It's a great truck to drive anywhere on or off road, even with a bunch of stuff loaded because it makes all its power nice and early. Now with the K&N and the exhaust I put on it I get more power throughout the curve and am averaging 18mpg on every tank, even with a lot of stop and go traffic. I got 24mpg coming back from San Francisco (live in So. Cal) - the best the car'd ever done. Going up hills is no longer a struggle. When I put it on, the car had about 115,000 miles on it. It now has 171,000 and runs like a champ. Years of getting 3 more mpg when you drive 35 miles each way just to work pays for that filter a couple times. I clean it roughly every year. Thanks again,

Hi,
Put a K & N filter in my wife's 2000 Nissan Xterra with 3.3 liter engine and went from 15 mpg to 18 mpg.
