K&N FIPK GEN II 2000 Dakota 4.7
This has to be the one performance accessory that does exactly what the charts and the reviews say it does. I didn't want the constant loudness or expense of exhaust but wanted a little extra beef in the horsepower and a more throaty sound. The intake gave me everything I wanted just when I wanted it. At idle speed I can't even hear it, which is what I wanted. But from about 2.5k - 4kRPM the difference can't be ignored. The growl resonates and you feel the extra performance through the thick of the power band. The newly found responsiveness in the gas pedal gets you there really fast too. I'm waiting on gas mileage results. However, its been real hard keeping my foot out of it. I think I might have a new bad habit.
I thank K&N for backing up the advertisements with a good product. Even though it was probably the product that created the advertisements. You just don't see that anymore.

Please understand; never in my 52 years have I written any manufacturer to sing the praises of anything. However...I have no idea when you last manufactured a replacement filter for the Yamaha RD400, but I've been riding these smelly little two-stroke wonders since I was a kid. Having fairly recently acquired yet another RD, and once again having begun the never-ending process of building the perfect one, I found, bid on, and won, your part number YA-1200, for the sum of twenty-six bucks on E-Bay. I'd read about your products on some bike site or another, and was disappointed to find that you didn't currently manufacture an OEM part to fit my bike. Given all the glowing testimonials, (which honestly I felt hard to swallow) I thought I should at least try one. So I was pleased to find one, and earlier this evening replaced a brand new factory Yamaha filter with your probably ancient part. A matter of five minutes, two bolts and a couple of thumbscrews. Never before have twenty-six bucks and five minutes of non-work yielded such obvious returns. Really! I just blasted around Chicago's North Side for about an hour and a half, and was summarily impressed. Wider powerband, better low end and midrange, and I was able to wind the damn thing right past eight and a half grand accelerating onto Lake Shore Drive for the first time since I bought it. And I lost the two-stroke surge, (well, most of it anyway) without even touching the air-screws. Jeez, I can't wait to actually tune it. Honestly, short of expansion chambers and re-jetting, a much bigger investment in time, money, and energy, your filter has quickly proven itself to be the most worthwhile single addition to an RD I've ever made. Now you'll have to excuse me, as I'm going to hit the streets again. Just to prove to myself I didn't imagine all this, and that a properly designed and engineered air filter can make such a dramatic improvement in the performance of a thirty-year old two-stroke motorcycle that I haven't even tuned-up yet.

Hi I've fitted a K&N element to my Suzuki DRZ 400 Trail bike and noticed an improved throttle response and found because the bike is used off road the filter can handle the mud and water much better than the standard filter.
Thanks K&N,

The results.... Just wanted to share my experience with K&N.
I keep track of fuel spending because I regularly commute 70 miles one way to work. I am driving a 2003 Chevy Impala, and installed a K&N filter in January of this year.
Here are the results.
26.38282437 Average Mileage PRE-filter change
29.36066422 Average mileage POST-Filter Change.
An increase of 11.28%!
Figuring I have driven 25,500 so far this year, with average gas prices of $1.75, the filter has saved me almost $175. It has truly been worth every penny of the purchase price.
Thanks, K&N!
Yours is truly a product that lives up to the hype.

Dear K&N,
I have a 2004 F150 FX4 with the 5.4L Triton v-8. When I 1st got the truck I put a dual exhaust on it and aside from the sound, I didn't get a whole lot. Now about 2 weeks ago I went ahead and got a chip and programmed it into the computer. the results were amazing! I couldn't believe the power I got from it. Having that said, I didn't really think I could get much more power out of it, but since I had a K&N intake on my 98 V-6 Mustang and it worked wonders on power, I thought I would try it on my truck so I got the 63-1089 complete intake kit. The instructions were awesome! No problem following them! It took me about an hour and a half to install the whole thing. So when I was done I fired it up and went "holy crap is that me!? It growled something fierce! When I hit the gas it just ROARS! and even though I had the chip and the exhaust, it still gave me power I could feel! My shifting is harder and low end torque is amazing! It literally chirps the tires when shifting! I haven't done the gas mileage check on it yet but if it improves the 12 I get now, you bet ill be one happy K&N customer! Not to mention it really makes my engine look less clustered and more powerful with that big a** air filter screamin' out at you!

Wow your filters are great! I just recently put one on my go-ped (motor scooter) and on my 5 hp Briggs mini bike. I really noticed a difference in low and mid range torque on the 2 stroke and low end take off and top end performance on the mini bike.

Just installed a KN Intake on my 02 Ford Lightning...WOW I can't believe the difference in performance. I have the dual KN on my 03 Vette which was installed mostly for looks and sound. This was installed at the same time as an after market exhaust system so I really didn't get the full effect in performance. Even though I wasn't thinking about gas mileage the Vette gets a little over 30 MPG on the road at 80-85 MPH. The truck performance is a different story, I was advised incorrectly that unless I chipped it I would not be able to tell the difference with an air intake. Not true there is a very distinct improvement in low end performance and the super charger sounds awesome with the intake. Don't know the improvement in gas mileage yet but I can sure use help the truck gets 12 on a good day.

I fitted a k&n panel filter in my Peugeot 206 1.4 XR (2001). The difference in power is slightly noticeable, but the car picks up better after shifting, torque has improved too! Not needing another filter again is a big plus too! Worth every cent is my opinion! Together with the other small modifications I made to the car, it runs much better as stock!
Thanks k&n for this great product!

Dear sir ,
May I take this opportunity to thank you for an excellent product. This is the second filter I have bought [this one is in my 2003 focus 1600]. The first one being on a 1993 Sunny 1.4. The difference in drivability is marked. Once again thanks,

Sirs:
I bought a 2002 Camaro with a 3800 V6 about a month ago and two weeks ago I decided to add a K&N air intake kit just to add a little more performance along with a muffler (system) with dual outlet pipes and the first thing I noticed was a increase in the air intake accompanied by increases in performance and an increase in gas mileage from 22 to 25 mpg with mixed driving. I really believe this is one addition to my car that will pay me back in performance and economy. Thanks for a great product.

Dear K&N,
WOW! What a difference. I have a 2002 Honda ACE shadow and bought one of your filters. I was going on a long trip and wanted to test the filter. Well, I'm back from my trip and after about 5,500 km. All I can say, is my bike has NEVER ran as good as it did on my trip. Now I'll telling all my friends to try the filter on their bikes.
Thanks again

I installed one of your filters on my 4.8 2000 Sierra when it was a year old and the difference was remarkable but what sold me on its worth was getting stuck in mud up to its doors and inhaling a large amount of mud, the filter stood up to all the mud caked in it and did not allow any to enter the engine, I drove the truck home 40 miles before I could clean the filter and in my opinion the filter saved my engine.
PS - this was in the jersey pine barrens which has sand laced mud

Great Filter!
Dear Sirs,
I installed a K&N filter in my 2002 Cavalier Z24 about 6 months ago, and I have seen a definite improvement in around town gas mileage. I was getting 22mpg but now I am getting around 25mpg since installing the filter. The cars ran really good before the installation but I have noticed a definite improvement in torque and power. Plus, the filter creates a cool sounding intake "roar" under acceleration and now the car has the sound to match the looks. You have sold me on being a lifelong customer and I will be purchasing your filters for every car I own in the future. Keep up the good work!

FIPK Performance - I am on my second 92-95 Honda Civic with a 1.5L non-VETC, and I just wanted to let you know that of all the performance mods that I have done on my cars, my K&N has been the greatest investment I could ever make. With 146,000 miles on the latest car when I bought it, I installed my kit right away. The absolute power that it generates was unbelievable. Within one week I put on nearly 1,500 miles getting around 35 under extreme conditions and more than that when my foot stays out of the gas. I love the feel and the sound of the filter so much that my wife now has one on her 92 Toyota 4x4.
Thank you,

Hey,
I drive a Holden Commodore S pack Ute powered by a 3.8 Ecotec V6. Fitting the K&N filter has improved power, accelerator responsiveness and now gives a crisper note. I didn't write this to sell K&N products instead just to tell it how it is. I would recommend and do recommend putting these filters in your engines as they have worked for me. It would have to be the cheapest "mod" that actually gives results. I could keep writing but will run out of space.
Thanks

I would just like to drop you a line on my experience on K&N Filters. We currently own a 2004 Honda Pilot and get 22 mpg on the highway. I decided to try you product and see if we could perhaps pick up 1 mpg as gas prices are on the rise. I installed my filter and had taken a trip from Raleigh, NC to Virginia Beach, Virginia. With the AC on, 4 people in the car which is 4400 lbs empty we got 26 MPG. I am going to purchase a filter for my other car which is a 98 Honda Accord EX.

Just installed your air filter in my Porsche Carrera 4 having used your product in my Honda. Immediately, I felt and heard the difference in the distinct Porsche "growl".....much smoother and the acceleration seems to be "tweaked". Will update with the fuel economy results. By the way, I get 825km's/ 515 miles per tank on the Honda ( V-Tech).

FIPK Tacoma 2.7
If I'd have listened to the advise of many, I'd have never purchased the FIPK. Everyone told me that it didn't make a difference. Well, I didn't have a dyno test or anything, but I definitely feel a "seat of the pants" difference. My acceleration is more responsive, it's seems to get up and go quicker and of course there's the awesome sound. Thanks, I think I made the right choice.
NOTE - K&N testing on the FIPK for the 2000-2003 2.7L Tacoma shows more than a 6 HP gain. See product information page.

WOW WHAT A IMPROVEMENT
I have a 1996 GMC Yukon with 147,000 miles, needless to say the motor was a bit sluggish in acceleration and power. I talked to the guys at truck fest and they told me about the FIPK's. Yesterday I purchased my kit and installed it this morning {it was quick and easy}. After the test drive I was completely amazed by the gain in power and acceleration. I am so impressed with revitalization in my motor. It's running better than new. Kudos to K&N. I will truly recommend this kit to everyone.
UPDATE - Just to let you know I got an improvement of 3.3 miles to the gallon around town. We can't wait for our fourth of July trip to Idaho so we can see what kind of improvement we get on the highway.
Thanks,

I received my K&N Filter today after ordering from your website and couldn't wait to install it in my 1994 Suzuki Katana GSX 600. The filter came with special plate that made installing the filter super easy. Also it came with different rubber inserts for rejetted carburetors, truly superior engineering. Now the horsepower gain truly shocked me!!! My motorcycle is now truly FAST. Thank you very much for your intelligent engineering and best horsepower gain for the buck.

TODAY I PURCHASED A K&N REPLACEMENT AIR FILTER FOR MY 2003 DODGE RAM 1500 WITH THE 5.7L HEMI. I WAS ONLY GETTING 12.1 MPG WITH THE STOCK AIR FILTER. AFTER PUTTING IN THE K&N FILTER, AND DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MILES, MY FUEL MILEAGE WENT UP TO 15.7 MPG HWY. ALL I CAN SAY IS, THANK YOU. THE $55.00 WAS WELL SPENT AND YOUR FILTER WILL MORE THAN PAY FOR ITSELF WITH GAS PRICES SO HIGH. K&N FILTERS ARE EVERYTHING THEY ARE ADVERTISED TO BE.

I just bought a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab Hemi 5.7 and I immediately went to my local accessory guy to buy a K&N filter. He talked me into installing a FIPK because of better gas mileage and higher horsepower. When I picked it up and drove away, it became apparent quickly that he forgot to tell me about the big change. Oh my gosh, the engine roars. I'm a 41 year old woman and having a loud truck like the kids is not what I expected. I will tell you though, over the last few days I have been having a blast acting like a teenager driving a hot rod. The acceleration is amazing and the sound gets your heart pumping. Just goes to prove, you're never to old to drive a big bad ass truck.

You guys are awesome! K&N has grown into a huge enterprise, yet you still understand the meaning of customer service. I contacted you about an air filter (I need two) for my '04 Chrysler Crossfire. Instead of telling me you didn't have a product, you took my email address and now have advised that your product is available.

One Happy Customer!!!!!!!!!
Just had to drop you a note regarding your FIPK Genll package that I installed on my 2003 Toyota Tacoma with the 3.4 l V-6. The truck's gas mileage was terrible and it had a noticeable lag upon acceleration. After having the truck checked by my dealer, I was informed that nothing was wrong and all settings were within factory specs. My previous truck, a 1994 GMC 1/2 ton Z-71 with a 350 was my first vehicle to take advantage of your fine products. I installed a drop in filter and immediately recorded 80 more kilometers to a tank of gas. Power and throttle response was unbelievable.
After researching your air intake kits on your website, I had my local supplier bring one in for me for my Tacoma. The instructions were very straightforward and having pictures at various points of the instruction sheet made the installation a breeze. When I first started the truck, I noticed that it was idling about a 100 rpm less than normal. The lag that I had experienced upon even slight acceleration had completely disappeared. I then thought that there was no time like the present to really give the truck a chance to show what she could do. I got away from traffic and decided to go onto the freeway. As I was pulling onto the entrance ramp, I really put my foot into it and WOW!!!!!! There was a road crew working on the side of the road and everyone of them just about broke their necks trying to see what was making that unbelievable sound. The tires chirped from 1st to 2nd and then again from 2nd to 3rd!!! This has never happened before and the best part was the sound coming from under the hood. You would swear there was a big block in this little truck. I am a 50 yr old retired firefighter and I felt like I was 19 again.
You have a great product that definitely lives up to all the claims that I have heard about it. Thanks again for making me feel like a kid again.
Sincerely,
G. Clark

I have been using K&N products in my cars since I first put one of your air filters on my '97 Mustang and noticed an instant seat-of-the-pants improvement in acceleration and a fuel mileage improvement of about 25 miles per tank. I now use both K&N air filters and oil filters on my '99 Mustang and an air filter on my girlfriends '02 Maxima. The filters also need to be "charged", so I keep a filtercharger (cleaning) kit handy. I have already broken even from not replacing the paper filters on both cars. The durability and quality of your products is legendary, but is also evident to anyone who cares to take more than a casual glance at the craftsmanship of your goods. Keep makin' 'em in the USA, and I will keep buying 'em! I am a customer for life!

Hi There,
You should know I am not easily impressed nor do I write complimentary notes very often but I feel that your products have definitely proven themselves.
I recently purchased a 1983 Toyota 4x4 Pick-up for my son and I to trek into the hills with. It is in good shape and runs really well. It did, however, lack power up long grades. Through the Tejon Pass the best we could manage was 55mph in third gear (winding high).
After installing one of your air filter elements it's like a different truck! All of a sudden we're climbing the same grade at 60-65 mph in forth gear and running cooler to beat! Mileage is up around 10% and the little thing just wants to run! This with no other modifications or tuning. The filter it replaced had only 1000 miles on it.
It isn't often that a product works much better than one is led to believe by the advertising and hype. I compliment you and your engineering and assure you that every vehicle I own will have your products in them just as soon as I can buy them!
Thank you VERY much,

My first experience with K&N was a filter on my 1990 Porsche Carrera 4. It was new then and I was a chronic participant in both Road-Race-Tracks and Autocross. I installed the K&N Filter on the suggestion of a fellow driver and the results were immediately noticeable. This incredible machine accepted the filter as if it were OEM. I proceeded to the regional championship in autocross for 2 years.
I now own a 2002 Mini Cooper S. This afternoon I installed a K&N Typhoon Air handling system and once again, the difference was immediate and very noticeable.
I am a tried and true K&N user and fan, as proven over the years. It's a bit mind blowing to get this much improvement from a reasonably priced product.
Thanks K&N for making my driving experience better than it already was.

Dear K&N,
There are three cars in my driveway that have K&n high-performance air-filters ( they are also the ONLY three cars in the driveway). The first car to get it was the 1999 Chevy Suburban K1500. It made a big difference with the overall torque. It also made up for the gas mileage with the big 5.7L vortec! Since that had such a great effect on the truck, I then put it on my 1985 Honda Accord 3-bbl. I always hated the carburetor in that car, but ever since I put it in the car, it made up for the slow pick-up, and just the other day, I beat a 2000 jeep liberty with my little Inline 4 engine. The other difference I really liked is the Clear Crisp sound. I put a 4 1/2" cherry muffler on it, and ever since the K&N, everyone hears me coming from a half a mile away!!! After the HUGE difference on that car, I installed one on the 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3800-V6. It gave it better over-all torque, even though that car didn't need any help in that department. I was greatly surprised. I don't know about gas mileage yet on this one, but it helped the other two pretty good.
IF THERE IS ANYONE THAT IS SKEPTICAL ABOUT K&N, I HOPE THIS CONVINCES YOU, IF NOT GO BUY ONE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!!! THIS WAS THE BEST $$45.99 I SPENT ON THESE CARS YET!

K&N Filters on all our cars
I have been using K&N Air Filters on my Harley Davidson's for years. I just put a K&N FIPK on my 2002 Toyota Tacoma and noticed an increase in performance across the power band and the sound when I floor it is incredible. Have not gassed it up yet but I am hoping to see the gas mileage go up. Looks great under the hood too.
I also purchased regular K&N Air Filters for my Wife's 2002 VW Passat and my Daughter's Dodge Neon. Both report noticeable performance improvements and increased gas mileage.
If you don't have K&N's in your vehicles you are not getting the most out of your engine and driving pleasure. These filters will pay for themselves, I'm a believer.

Wow!
I bought a K&N for my Mazda B2500 about a year and a half ago. Man, could I tell the difference! I went from 300 miles per tank to 315 miles per tank. Needless to say, "I love this filter!" About a month ago I realized that it needed to be cleaned. I bought the cleaning/oiling kit and noticed the FIPK series, OOhhhhhhh Boy! I couldn't resist. I quickly installed it later that day and went from 315 miles per tank to 335-345 miles to the tank. The power! The Torque! The Sound! I have more acceleration than I know what to do with! I can't believe how much of a difference it has made in my truck! I tell all my friends about it, but they refuse to believe me! Idiots.
Thanks!

Hola from Spain
Dear Sirs.
I have used your K&N filters since 1988, when I bought the 1st one to fit it in my Yamaha FJ 1100. I covered 165,000 km with your filter in 1993. Today, my bike with more than 200,000 km, runs like new and your filter is inside! Good inversion! Since then, I have owned 7 motorbikes, and I have used your filters in all of them, and I have recommended your filter to a lot of friends, who have bought it.
Outstanding product!, I can prove it, you see. It is the minimum that I can do to thank you for making your fantastic product. You have saved me (and my friends) a lot of money in air filters and in motor care: here in Tenerife we have a lot of dust, more when there are Sahara winds (a pair of weeks during a year), and I know that my motor is safe because I have read tests in independent sources that say K&N air filters work better in dusty climates.... and I have checked it! When I have opened the carbs to clean them in my various bikes, the carb's float bowl sumps were always clean (last time in my FZS 600 Fazer after 44,000 km put on in 1 and half years)! In some friend's bikes, I have observed that there is always a little quantity of red-sand in the carbs: the Sahara winds have lot of this sand in suspension, and It seems that their components (Sahara sand, you know) surpasses the filters... but not my K&N filter! HA HA HA
Best regards from a forever client

Just got my Honda Accord (V-6, 6 speed manual), and drove the car for 3 days before installing a drop-in K&N filter. The car starts quicker than the first few days and for a car that accelerates well it seems to rev even easier. Drove the car on a 1700 mile trip mainly on interstate and 65-75 mph. The first tank of gas was 32 mpg, and the next 3 tanks increased to 33 mpg. Not bad when the car is rated for 20-30 mpg. The filter should pay for itself in the next 3-4 months on gas savings, and engine response is a plus-plus bonus.
All four of the cars in my household are equipped with K&N filters (3 standard replacement filters and the Civic EX has a typhoon kit) The other 3 cars have had K&N filters installed for over a year. Each shows the same benefits - easier starting, more responsive throttle, and improved (10-15%) gas mileage.

Thanks for a great product.
Few months ago, I bought a new car for my wife and started driving her Grand Cherokee with 65,000 miles on it. The Jeep has a 4.7 V8 but I always thought it was too civilized. It already had a K&N air filter so the first thing I did was install a catback exhaust. I noticed a little gain but nothing to write home about. Then I installed a FIPK and you know what? One word - WOW! I noticed the added power instantly. And the sound.... too cool. Best money that I ever spent.

Last year I was cleaning my K&N filter from use of about a year and a half. This was the 3rd time I cleaned my K&N. I was using the normal procedure: spray, tap, wash, let air dry and so on. While I was letting the filter dry I took a white wiper to clean out the down side of my air box. I got what I expected, black as black can be. Then for giggles, I decided to use a new wiper and clean the up side of the air box (that goes to the engine) I had to wipe 3 or 4 times. THE WIPER WAS COMPLETELY CLEAN! I was completely amazed.
I WILL NEVER BY A PAPER AIR FILTER AGAIN!

I just wanted to say thanks so much for the detailed installation instructions that was included in my FIPK Kit. My 02 Ford Expedition now really sings. I'm no mechanic by any means. I change my own oil and fluids but that's about the extent of my skills. I was really hesitant at first about buying a FIPK kit because I wasn't really sure I could do it. Kudos to your website. I printed installation instructions before I even ever bought the kit to see if it was something I might could do. After reading the instructions and identifying parts in the motor, I decided to go out and purchase the kit. In under 1.5 hours, I had it installed and back on the road. Once again, thanks SO MUCH for the great pics and instructions. I never would have attempted it without the great support.

WOW!
Hi. Recently purchased a 2001 Toyota Solara, only 11022 miles when I first took it for a test drive. The salesman suggested that it was traded in cause it was slightly underpowered, just a 4 cylinder engine. In fact, the next year Toyota added 22 horsepower to the engine. Anyway, as much as I liked the car, it was sluggish going uphill, so after a month or so I called the Toyota service department and asked them what I could do to improve the performance. He said the best thing I could do was to install a K & N air filter. I had just read that the ideal ratio of air to gas is 14.75 parts air to 1 part gas, so, essentially, a car engine is an air pump, so if it pumps air more efficiently, it ought to run better. Called my local parts dealer, had the filter the next morning, I went on a 120 mile trip and voila!, now I can actually accelerate going uphill! Just want to thank you for a making a great product that really makes a difference!

I just recently installed a filter charger on my '03 Ford Explorer Sport. I had been unhappy with the 15.5 miles per gallon I was averaging for suburban-Chicago driving. I can proudly say that I achieved 17.5 miles per gallon on the first tank with the new filter. At today's gas prices, this filter will be paid for in a couple of months!!! I have noticed an increase in power, most notably at speeds between 30 and 60. I do hear rushing air now when accelerating, but it doesn't bother me a bit, especially with more power and better fuel performance. Thanks for the great product!
Sincerely,

I purchased a K & N air filter for my Nissan safari vehicle some 2.5 years ago. Today for the first time I purchased a recharger kit and cleaned and re-oiled the filter.
After 2.5 years the filter was very dirty but with the recharger kit it came up as new.
I use my Nissan a lot off road and I know I should have cleaned the filter well before now.
I was very impressed with the recharger kit and the quality of the filters.
You certainly make a great product. I will also be purchasing another filter for my wife's car and one for my jet boat.
I know you probably get lots of messages like this but I thought I would take the time to say great products.
Thanks

Dear K&N:
I just installed and test drove your FIPK kit for my '99 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L.
The results were immediate and obvious. It is faster through the whole range, and downshifts much less. This can only result in improved fuel economy. The infamous "Cherokee growl" is now a low rumble. There is a definite sound of rushing air when under load, which might bother some but I didn't expect it to sound stock.
I found everything to be of a high quality, the instructions were clear, and installation very easy. All as claimed.
I'm sold.

First time buyer of your air filter
First of all I'd like to say what a fine job you folks are doing. I have a Dodge Ram quad cab 1500 with a 4.7 motor in it. I love my truck but I hate the gas it sucks up, so I decide to buy an air filter from you because my friend has one on his motorcycle. He told me that it made a big deference on his bike so I put it in my truck and man I gained 2 more miles to the gallon right off the bat. I can't believe it but it does work so my next move is to put one in my motorcycle and I'm going to get the oil filter too. Once again keep up the good work.

Dear K&N Employees,
I just recently purchased a K&N filter (33-2042 - Drop In) for my '01 Chevy Blazer(4.3L V-6). I have put some miles on it before the new filter, and with it installed. All I can say is "WOW"!! What a HUGE difference your air filter makes. The hills where it would shift, it didn't! It has more acceleration. My MPG went up around 1 1/2 to 2 MPG. You have constructed a masterpiece! My Praises go out to your Team. I even convinced my dad to get a K&N Air Filter for his Ford F-150. He tows his camper behind it, and HE has seen a difference in 1 trip!! It's INSTANTLY Noticed!! Thanks again for your fine products you provide. When I have available funds, I plan on Upgrading to the FIPK! I can't Wait.
Sincerely,

Having used k&N panel filters for a number of years on Vauxhalls and BMWs I cannot for the life of me see why these filters don't come as standard!!!
My current BMW 535i SE automatic now drives smooth as a nut between the gears and doesn't hunt anymore as well as feeling the throttle response being there for you instead of having to work it. Many thanks for a great product !!!

Gentlemen,
Proud to let you know I am using your air intake system on my 2004 Chevrolet Blazer "Extreme" and could not be happier with the increase in power, response and fuel mileage. This is the third vehicle I have incorporated your products into, and all vehicles have experienced the same positive improvements.

I'm a huge car freak. I've always believed in K&N's before I even got one! One day I finally made some money, so I got one (33-2006) for my mother's '94 Grand Caravan SE, with the awesome 3.3L V6, I put it in right in the "parts store" parking lot (I mean come on, only 2 clips & done) driving back home, I definitely noticed more response, better top end "pull", more torque. It could spin the tires easier, shhhh, don't tell her that..., & it sounded great. Now almost 2 years later the van has a gutted airbox (before the filter), turbo muffler, 3" inch tip, performance wires & plugs, & the darn thing still pulls & sounds great!!! & it has almost 180K on it!
On my 16th birthday I got a '79 Malibu. After I put a 350 in, I finally nabbed a K&N from a friend who wasn't using it anymore, & noticed more top end, & sounded great (4 barrels rule!) it gets dirty quick though, but that doesn't matter, it reuses the dirt as filter media, so I don't have to clean it as much as when I had to replace the paper filters! I've always pushed the K&N name, & still always will!!! Thanks for making a great product!

I just purchased a K&N 33-2042 for my 95 GMC Sonoma 2.2L 4, the difference is remarkable. The increase in air flow has improved performance beyond my expectations.

I have to say first off that I was a very skeptical buyer. My brother put a filter in his truck and couldn't say enough about it. Yet I was still leery of the claims made by people that use K&N products. Well, it came to a point where I had to replace the stock airbox in my truck because it had been damaged. I could have spent about the same amount for either a factory unit or for a K&N FIPK unit. I opted for the K&N, if nothing else for the filter. I drive about 20 to 25 thousand miles a year and any less maintenance I need to do, including changing the air filter, is fine with me.
After I installed the FIPK, the first thing I noticed was the noticeable difference in noise under moderate to heavy throttle. So I got a low maintenance, high quality filter and a better sounding engine. I would have been happy with just that, but there was more to come. My truck has never been on a dyno, and it never will be. I have no idea how much power the FIPK added, but it is noticeable. There are some hills on the freeway that when driving at 70 with the cruise on my truck would have to downshift in order to maintain speed. Now, my truck takes the same hills without downshifting. And to top it all off, through the first two tanks since I put the unit on, I'm averaging about 1 3/4 MPG better fuel economy. That is with me running the engine faster than I normally do so I can hear more of that growl.
I have to admit, I'll never doubt anyone when they claim great things for a K&N product again. I was rather pleasantly surprised that the hype is true. Now I just have to wait until K&N puts out an airbox for my quad!
