I RECENTLY PURCHASED AND AM THE PROUD OWNER OF A 1998 FORD EXPLORER. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE WITH 130,000 MILES ON IT. I DROVE IT HOME AND IT WAS GETTING 15MPG. I TUNED IT UP AND IT WAS STILL ONLY GETTING 17MPG. A WEEK LATER I PURCHASED A K&N AIR FILTER FOR IT, AND NOW I'M GETTING 26MPG IN THE CITY. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE MECHANICS THESE ARE GAS GUZZLING SUV'S THAT RATE 14MG CITY AND 19MPG HIGHWAY, AT ONE TIME I CALCULATED MY TRUCK GETTING JUST SHY OF 30MPG HIGHWAY. I LOVE MY AIR FILTER, IT LETS THE ENGINE BREATHE SOOO MUCH EASIER. THANKS K&N

I drive between Rochester and Buffalo daily for work (150 miles/day). Before I installed the K&N air filter in my '07 Buick LaCrosse I was getting 25.5 - 26.5mpg. I now get 28.4 - 28.89mpg!
The engine sounds and feels like it's not working as hard to get up to speed and it's actually quieter than before. What a filter!!

I installed a K and N air filter in my 2007 Jeep wrangler a couple of days ago after several of my freinds had told me of the results they had seen. I used to get 21.5 mpg now I get 24 mpg. That really impressed me , great product.

I own a 1995 Neon. It's not the highest performing car in world and it has little power. I heard about K&N filters and I wanted to give them a shot.
As soon as I installed the air filter I noticed a world of a difference. The throttle response and a very zippy acceleration were the first thing I noticed. It was amazing that by just simply increasing the air flow it can make that much of a difference, the car even sounds better. Best of all when the filter gets dirty you simply wash it and start over, and over time the filter pretty much pays for itself.
This is the best performance part I have ever bought. I will be putting K&N in all my future cars.

Just wanted to say WOW...Just bought one yesterday and already I felt the increase in horsepower. I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado, and noticed the HP right away...I will see in the next couple of days the fuel economy. I am excited to have it on my truck, friends have told me about it and I didn't pay too much attention. Now, I feel I should of...I took advantage of the filter since it was on sale, and it does make a difference...Once again WOW keep up the good work. With fuel prices the way they are, this will help...

Bought a performance intake kit a few years ago. I broke the adapter on the heat sheild. Looked all over and couldn't find one. Called K&N and they had it at my house within a week. Outstanding service. I have 3 other vehicle's, all will have K&N filters as soon as I get to the store. Thanks a million.

I used the same K&N drop-in filter on my 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD from 2002 to 2007, when I sold it. The new owner of the car is still using the filter I purchased years ago. I'm now using K&N air filters on my 1993 Mazda Miata, and my 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR4. It has made a night-and-day difference on the Miata, especially in low-end torque. On the Galant, I now hit boost 200-300 RPM sooner, and I can definitely feel the difference in power. Not only are K&N air filters proven to perform, they are also built to last.
Plus, K&N oil filters always have a nut welded on to the end of each filter. As someone who changes my own oil, that's a godsend.

I recently had to retire my 1990 Mazda Protege GT (1.8l, 4cyl) and bought a used 1993 Mazda 626ES with a 2.5l V6 (both with manual transmissions, but the 626 is a much bigger and much heavier car). I was a bit concerned about the fuel consumption of the 2.5l having had a car with a smaller engine (27~30 mph city, 40+ mpg highway). I bought the K&N filter to see if it could help out with squeezing a few more miles per gallon. Presently it stands at about 25 mpg in mixed driving. While it's early to tell, what I can tell you is that from the first time I turned over the engine, I knew that there was a difference.
The filter in the car (when I bought it) was brand new. I felt that the engine was a little slow on response when I pressed on the gas pedal, even when it was already revving. I thought that this was normal as I hadn't had the car for very long. With the K&N filter and without a doubt, the engine revs up much more freely. It's amazing how getting more air into the engine literally breathes new life into it! An of course, there is that little improvement in the sound of the engine as well.
Again, I'm not sure (yet) about any mileage increase, but will write back and repost after a few tanks have been used. So far, very impressed! The Zoom-Zoom is back!

I came to know about K&N thru media. Being a owner of a multi brand comprehensive automobile workshop, I requested for a demo piece, which they accepted by rushing it within a day. I first used in a Tata Indica and found an instant change in the performance and power in it. Having been satisfied with the product, I ordered it for my Ford Escort 1998 model and the result was same.
Having been fully satisfied, I approched K&N national distributor Methods at Bangalore to appoint me as their dealer.
Now, I am not only selling it suceesfully to my customers, but also started sending to far away places like Jaipur (Rajasthan, India).
I strongly and confidently recommend for all car and motorcycle users to buy and extend the life of your engine.

K&N filters are great! Going back a few years, I had a 1997 Ford Ranger with the 2.3L 4 cylinder engine and I put in the K&N replacement filter and was pleased. I got better acceleration and quicker throttle response. Before, going up hills I had to downshift from 4th to 3rd on some hills and after I put in the filter I could stay in 4th going up the same hills although it would not accelerate up them but still it was a difference. My gas mileage did not change much, maybe 1mpg more at the most. Well I got rid of that truck and bought a 2004 F150 Heritage with the 4.2L V6 and bought the replacement filter and also noticed an improvement. Acceleration and throttle response again were better and gas mileage went up from an average of 18.5 to 19.9 in the summer. The tank of gas I had in it when I replaced the filter I got 21 mpg but that was the only time I saw 21mpg. And to put this into perspective, the gas ratings are 17 city and 20 highway and I am getting 19.9 on an average. Well yesterday I decided to get a cold air intake for my F150. The 77 series is 1 of 2 choices I had. Well I installed it today in about 1 hour and I've never put in an intake before. Also I'm not very knowledgeable with how to do things under the hood. Changing oil, air filters, headlights, just basic stuff is pretty much all I can do. Instructions are exact only had to double check the instruction sheet once which was because I read it wrong. Well now it's installed and it is a great improvement! It makes the engine sound better while under harder acceleration, and when idling you can hear it sucking air in when the hood is up. When the hood is down you can't hear it hardly at all but it is a nice upgrade. Can't wait to see what it does to the gas mileage but I will buy K&N's for every vehicle I own in the future.

I recently bought the Typhoon intake for my 07 Charger R/T (Yeh its the hemi :]) and I couldn't believe the difference. It sounds like I got a brand new exhaust, and the power is unbelievable. I was running at 400 RWHP before the intake and with it installed, I was nearly pushing 415 at 4800. Great products, and a must have. Keep up the good work guys at K&N!

Just bought a low-mileage '03 Chrysler 300M Special...I was pleased to find out it already had a K&N drop-in filter, but decided to go with the FIPK replacement for it, both for mileage and performance reasons. Took it for a few runs around the block to get a feel for the change, but then used it for the normal end-of-week errands around town. From easy driveability to neck-popping passing power, the change was noticeable from the start.

I bought a K&N air filter for my 02 Tahoe 5.3 about 6 months ago. My gas mileage when up from 14 mpg to 18 mpg. The power was like I was driving a totally different truck...I put a stock air filter back in the Tahoe to trade it in and gave the K&N filter to my brother for his Silverado. The Tahoe fell on its face on the way to the dealership I couldn't believe the power difference from the K&N filter to the paper one. When I bought my 08 Silverado, as soon as I pulled out of the dealership I went to the local auto parts store for to a new K&N filter for it...
Thanks for the great product...

Follow up from March 28, 2008 - We just got our first K&N filter yesterday for my mom's 1985 Mercedes 380 SE. IT IS AMAZING! Barely any throttle will make the car get up and go now, the V8 is definately performing to its top potential. And if you stand on the gas from a light it will easily pull away from anything that was next to it
Soon as we stop messing around with it we'll check the fuel economy

I recently purchased a 1998 Ford Explorer in mint condition with very low mileage. The previous owner was very meticulous in maintaining it. The reason he sold it was the mileage was awful,(14 mpg). I took it to my local Ford dealer, and the mechanic recommended I try a K&N air filter, which I did, It went from 14 to 18 mpg. In a year's worth of driving that will save me approximately 280 gal. of gas @ $3.50 a gal. That amounts to $980. Really has made a believer out of me.

Immediately noticed difference in power and mileage. Increased Hwy mileage on my 2007 Duramax Silverado one ton from 17 hwy to over 19 mpg. I wish I would of replaced my stock filter with this unit long ago. It was only about 15 dollars more than the stock filter.
Excellent investment!!

Bought the K&N Typhoon kit for my Toyota Corolla T Sport a couple of months ago. The sound out of it is just awesome, espeicially after Lift kicks in at 6200RPM.
Can't say I've noticed the fuel improvements as I use £25 every 3 or 4 days, that noise and power is too attractive to drive sensibly!

My dad's a car collector and we have a few cars
1985 Mercedes 380SE
1981 Mercedes 380SL
1976 Mercedes 420SEL
1984 Ferrari 308 GTSi
1976 El Camino Classic (mine) =)
1991 Mercedes 190 2.3
and a few more and...
I 've always heard about K&N filters and always wanted to get them for our cars. I mean more fuel economy AND power! What could be greater than that?
So I rode in my friends 2001 Mercedes E320 and I've driven these cars before and they seem to have a bit of lag stock.
But his was a beast away from stop lights and made a great sound.
Turns out he had K&N filters in it. I asked him and he said he's averaging about 4MPG's better.
After that I've pretty much become an unofficial K&N salesman.
I've talked about 10 of my friends into getting them for their cars.
2004 civic 1996 ford ranger
2000 Mercedes CL600
and even one of my friends into getting an intake on his '96 Custom Mustang
(Can we say possible sponsorship? =) )
So I decided to talk my mom into getting one for her 85 Mercedes 380SE and we just ordered our first one today so I can't wait for it to come in and see the difference. It'll decide if we get them in all of our cars. I have total confidence and can't wait to post when we find the results.

I had bought a K&N cold intake for my 04 Cummins and I was impressed with the awesome change in it. The extra power and saving a little more money at the pump wasn't too bad either. So just recently I bought a 08 Toyota Tundra and I put the K&N series 77 intake in it, the sound I got now is awesome and the extra hp is there when I need it. Haven't really had the chance to see if it saves at the pump, all I have been doing is putting pedal down and listening to motor roar. Thanks.

Over 35 years ago I started working at a local Kawaski dealership. The hot mod for a KZ900 was a 4 into 1 header, a little rejetting, removal of the stock air box and add K&N's. The extra room around the carbs made sync and tune soo much easier. The only problem I thought was water going thru the filters from rain and pressure washing. Soon I found my fears unwarranted. The K&N's stood up to total abuse. I curse anyone who would remove this filter. They work forever! Learn how to clean them, put them on your daily driver and never buy another filter. Save fuel and gain horsepower!

I just installed a K&N Filter in my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi. The check engine light that's been on for a few weeks went out after just a few seconds. The stock filter really did not look dirty. With about 100 miles on the K&N I can see improvement in gas mileage already. Well worth the extra money, it will pay for itself soon.

After experiencing a significant power & fuel mileage improvement in my 1992 HD Sportster after installing your air & oil filters, I finally purchased an air filter for my 2002 5.4 lliter V8 Expedition. Have not finished the first tank of gas since installing to check fuel mileage improvement, but the improved accleration was quickly noticed. Engine starts easier, warms up quicker, & the acceleration from a dead stop is noticeably brisker according to my seat-of-the-pants dyno !!! At my age(57) I have finally decided on some absolutes in my life: Jesus, Harley-Davidson, Amsoil syn lubricants in everything, Accell spark plugs & wires, Amsoil/K&N oil filters, but the air filter has got to be nothing less than K&N !!! Thanks for adding new life to the internal combustion engine. PS: Got an air filter for my JD riding mower ??? It could use some improvement also---ha-ha-ha

Congratulations on a fantastic product. I own a Citroen Xantia HDI 2ltr diesel, now semi retired, after 51 yrs on the spanners, also I tow a caravan 15ft. I am really pleased with my K&N filter, I fact I have just purchased a Daihatsu Sirion 1ltr petrol car ,so am going to put a filter in this one as well, as petrol in the Uk is £1/04 a ltr, so one has to get the most out of your petrol as possible.

I had tried the filter alone on my '81 Monte Carlo, then my Grand Prix, then my 95 Aurora. I still have the Aurora, I now have an 02 Silverado quad cab long bed w/6 ltr gas, 410 gears and 295/75/16. I never bought the whole system, just the filter. It took a bad investment in an oil change. N-E-ways my mileage and performance took a dive. I was upset and went shopping for stuff for my truck. Like I said I just bought the filter due to the price of a complete unit $300. Since I was mad at the oil, I bought the complete FIPK #5730311. I only put this unit on in about 45min and went to work that morning. The difference from before, the truck just pulls. I used less gas that morning than before my stupid mistake with the oil. At gas prices these days, I thank you. The sound from a dead stop is just great. The sound from 3000 rpms and up is wicked. Sorry I never bought the complete package from you before. So to say I'm sorry I ordered the packaged for my Aurora. To everybody, make the investment. Buy the complete system. U will not be let down. I've had it for two weeks and have saved $64-67 in fuel. Not to mention the smile to sound ratio. And yes I changed the oil.

In 2002 I bought a 95 Saturn and was going to buy an air filter for it. When I realized how much a filter for a Saturn cost, the guy at the parts desk told me about K&N filters. At first I was skeptical, but I knew the guy well and decided that I would give it a try seeing that a paper filter cost nearly the same as a K&N one did. I've been using them ever since. Even in a lil Saturn I noticed improved power and started getting 45 miles per gallon on the highway! Before that I only got 37 mpg on the highway. I own a 2003 Cavelier now and the minute I got it, I put a K&N in it. You guys make a great product that I'll keep using.

I purchased 2 of your air filters for my 2004 Porsche Cayenne S. All I can say is WOW. The gas milage has gone up to around 16 miles per gallon now as opposed to the 14 I was getting before. I would estimate an added 10 more HP. The car was powerful before but now it feels like it has a turbo. The engine sounds more powerful, and runs smoother. I highly recommend these filters to anyone with a high performance car, or in fact any car. I have recommended these air filters to my friend who has a BMW. I hope her results are as noticeable as mine. A+++++ product. The car hurled itself to 140 MPH in no time.

Replaced my air filer with a K&N in an '08 Ford Escape 4WD, V6, Limited. It is rated to yield 17 MPG in the city, however, I am receiving 20.4 MPG in the city, which is a 16.6% increase. At first, the idle was significantly higher when I first started the engine, as was acceleration. Now, about 3 weeks later, the engine seems to have adjusted the idel down, near to what is was before, however, acceleration remains improved. Air is thin in Denver, at one mile above sea level, so engines develop less horespower. Any improvement in filtered air intake is a welcome change to help deal with the Rocky Mountains.

I bought a K&N Air Charger (air intake) for my new 07 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner and the performance has surpassed my expectations. After putting the Air Charger on my truck I noticed the throttle response was 50% better than factory with the increase in horse power. The only draw back that I have experienced is a 1 mile per gallon decrease in fuel economy but the performance that I gained is worth it. I am sold on the K&N product and will look to purchasing from K&N in the future.

I have a 2005 Ford Ranger 3.0 and just installed the FIPK (intake kit). It was really easy with the great directions and the pictures of my engine, not just gerneric pictures. I noticed it sounded better as soon as I turned the key. At first I wasn't saving gas because I was flooring it off of every redlight I came to because the acceleration blew me away. Now it's been a few weeks. I've calmed down a little and noticed a 4mpg increase and I'm still flooring it just every other red light now.

I purchased a K&N replacement filter for my 1999 Pontiac Grand AM and instantly saw an increase in acceleration. I have since sold the car but made sure to take the filter out in case I could ever use it again. Sure enough a friend of mine has the same required filter so I sold it to him and he immediately noticed he was saving fuel on his long drive into work. K&N filters are awesome. I put the FIPK (air intake) on my 2001 Toyota Tacoma. It was a snap to install. All the directions were very easy to follow. The change in power is great. I was immpressed with the panel type filter so I got the whole intake kit. Between the intake and performence muffler my truck has sure changed its toon. It's only a 3.4L but you wouldn't know it when it leaves most everything at the traffic lights. Anyways, keep up all the good work. Thanks for a great product.

This is one of the absolute best products I've ever spent my money on. I installed a K&N air filter in my 97 Ford Taurus GL FFV with the 3.0L OHV V6 and I gotta say, I'm extremely happy. My Taurus has a digital fuel range counter and before the K&N I've seen it read as high as 502 miles to empty on 18 gallons of gas, but after the K&N installation, over time it eventually read as high as 571 miles to empty. I even drove the car from an absolute full tank at highway speeds and purposely ran it out of gas to disprove any skeptics I had, and sure enough by that time, my trip odometer read pretty close to my fuel range counter. I know for sure now that I would have never achieved those results if I were always running a regular paper element filter. I also noticed a slight increase in take off from a stand still too. I very highly praise this magnificent innovation in auto-air intake technology.
You people have a loyal fan for life!

Ok, so I see and hear K&N. Soooo I figure why not? I put a typhoon intake kit on my 04 Infinity G35 and I must say wow. First off...the sound alone is SWEET! I can't tell you the gas mileage I save around town...cuz I gun this sucker any chance I can get to hear that system. Although I have upgraded my ECU and plenum's I saw a significant increase in MPG. I drove from Chicago to Louisiana two round trips (once before filter and after). Before filter...filled up gas tank 3 times. After filter...filled up 2 times under same driving habits! It does work...not sure the HP gain (didn't dyno) but I really do feel it.
