Bought one for the family VN V6 wagon with 360000kms on the clock and I have to say, instant improvement on even that crusty old bomb. The engine felt like it was breathing a lot better, performance was definately up on the old paper filter. So much so, that when I bought myself into the new millenium with a 2001 VX wagon family car with a more muscular 5.7 GenIII, the first purchase was, you guessed it- a new K&N flat panel filter. Have a Vortech T-trim supercharged VPSS 355ci in the build for one of my toys, and when she's up and running, will be definately be looking into a K&N pod filter....

High performance and long life- you can't go wrong!

My wife and I will not purchase another air filter from anybody but K&N. As soon as as I knew how well your air filters worked it took me a couple of years to convince my wife who at that time only relied on her Father's advice. 5 cars later she will put nothing but a K&N air filter in our cars and neither will her father. My wife has even gone to the point of her excessive frugalness to buy one even 2 days after she purchased her new car and took it in for a check up. They put a new filter in then 2 days later you guys came out with 1 for her car and she bought it. The whole time after purchasing the car, her day by day checking to see if you had made a filter for her 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GT. I have never in my life seen her wait so expectantly for anything to come out on any kind of market food, chef, Make-up, kitchen appliance, ETC as she did your product. I have never been so flabbergasted by anything in my life. I owe it all to your products. Thank you for many years of quality and enjoyment from my vehicles. Please don't stop.

After all the issues I hear online about K&N, I thought I should just try one out for myself and see what's the real truth.  I noticed a difference right after installation. It seemed to really help out in the low mid range I changed it out from my foam filter after riding for about 30min so I really did notice it once installed.

Thank you!

Wow!

I purchased your short ram intake for my 2006 Toyota Matrix and what a difference it made. Before the kit the performance was okay, it struggled on hills and when merging onto the highway. After this kit the throttle is much more responsive and fuel economy improved by about 60 more km per tank!

Well,
after an easy stock replacement filter change (K&N part 33-2121-1), my Malibu seems to respond easier with less effort, breathing better with a power reserve not before available. For me, it took about 20 miles for the engine electronics to adjust to a better air intake flow.

In all honesty, I would give this item a 5 out of 5 stars.

K&N is a great company!  I have had K&N filters on every vehicle I have owned since 2001.

This last month, my check engine light came on in my '05 Hyundai Tucson (large K&N Filter and cold air intake installed).  I took it to the dealer and they told me the O2 sensors were going crazy.  The Filter had been installed for over 4 years and they blamed the check engine light on the filter.  Since the K&N was on a cold air intake pipe that was not stock they denied my warranty to replace the Mass Air Sensor and charged me $377.79 for diagnostics and a new MAS.  Look around on the K&N site and you'll see that they GUARANTEE that their filters CAN NOT cause a MAS failure!

I sent in my defective MAS (according to the dealership) and they ran diagnostics on it and sent me a report showing that the sensor was working perfectly!  The dealership had no way of testing the MAS and just decided to charge me a boatload of money to help fill their pockets.  The awesome folks at K&N sent me a check for the full amount ($377.79) that my dealership charged me and told me that THEY will fight my dealership to get the money back.  They went way out of their way to help me out when I thought I was going to eat a MAS and be punished for not keeping the stock equipment in the car.  THANKS K&N for backing up your products 110%.  I whole-heartedly appreciate their products, business practices, and employees.

I drive a 1988 Jeep Grandwagoneer and the old filter was enclosed and sounded weak, about 6 months ago I installed a 14 inch K&N air filter and it does work. Love that roar under the hood and add a flowmaster 40 muffler to that and you got a good combination driving down the road.

I've been running a cold air unit on my 02' Silverado 5.3 has only 65000 miles, two years now I would not look at any other way to ride. People cant believe I get a steady 19 miles to the gallon. Looking to put one on the wife's 01 LS 430!!!

I have been running a K&N filter in my 06 Toyota Avalon for about 2 yrs now and noticed about 8-10% increase in mileage along with better performance. Just dropped one in my wife's 08 Camry and wow.. what a difference in performance.. and she is getting about 30 more miles per tank of gas.. also got one for my 09 Silverado 4.8 but not a noticeable difference yet.. only has 1000 miles.. waiting for a cold air intake kit for 09-up Silverado to come out.  OVERALL VERY HAPPY WITH K&N FILTERS... definately worth the investment..

I replaced my stock air filter (with a K&N E-1009 air filter) and kept the original intake tube and deleted the air box. I love the roar and increased throttle response. As far as mileage, I average 24 city and up to 28 highway on my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer 4.2 . I noticed that while cruising at 100km on the hiway my transmition did not have to down shift to maintain speed on hills as it would with the stock set up. The motor is definately breathing and running better. Lots of bang for the buck. I am wondering if a heat shield would make it even better. Keep up the good work K&N.

ohh.... I did fit a K&N air filter on my bike, Thunderbird of Royal Enfield,,,
I am really speechless..... 0 to 100 very quickly... it rides smoother than before... no need for change gears often during city drive...and about the sound... my god... really bullet firing sound and it also reduced unwanted sounds in my bike..........K&N......great...

Unbelievable! Insane! Astonishing!  Without a doubt the best money I have ever spent on a vehicle.  I installed the 57 Series FIPK on my Chrysler 300C (5.7) and the throttle response is incredible.  It was always fast (confirmed by the numerous mustangs that I have blasted past), but now it's just insane!  Another great benefit is the sound the engine makes now...now it sounds just as fast as it is.  The down side is that the power is addictive!  I want even more!  Here comes Predator, headers, Cam, etc.!!!

 Hi People and Chevy Lovers,
I now have 31000 miles on my ZZ4/355 GM motor and still use K&N
Oil Filters which I change every 4000 miles. I reckon that I could go
a lot further but it took a long time to buy this motor brand new
which is a beauty so why take a chance?. All the best to all.

I had put the 77 Air Intake kit on my dad's 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT 4x4 4.2 L6 about three years ago and it still makes plenty of power compared to factory setting! The sound is just awesome! When you bury that pedal to the floor it just takes off and makes the most insane sound. I love that intake and I bet it got some more MPG`s to. So thanks K&N for making the best filters and intakes out there!

I am a 54 yr old male who has installed your air-filter products into five 5, yes I should become a rep.....yuk-yuk.  The difference on my Malibu 1987 is at least 50 km plus per tank!! Never mind running smooth.  This is the way a vehicle should breathe.

I had my mechanic install a K&N filter on my '07 Big Dog Mastiff (motorcycle). The power difference isn't noticable by the seat of the pants but my mileage went from an average of 24-City/36-Highway to 35-City/48-Highway.

I just purchased a K&N filter to replace my "brand removed" filter on the Intake of my 240 HP Supercharged Snowmobile. Will give feedback on how it goes after running the K&N this season.

I installed a K&N air filter on my '06 F150 when it only had 3000 miles on it. I now have 63,000 miles. It has been cleaned twice. Before I put the K&N air filter in I was getting 18 miles per gallon. With 60,000 miles on the filter my milage is 26 miles per gallon. The local ford dealer can't believe it, but I have the records to prove it. Thank you K&N for saving hundreds of dollars in gas over the last 60,000 miles.

I replaced my stock paper filter today, granted it was 12 month old and full of dust, but the difference made by the K & N was huge.

0-60 reduced by 1.5 seconds as I now don't have to change up to 3rd just before the 60mph mark (Engine cut out 7000rpm)

Overtaking from 50mph is much more responsive.

54 euros for this change is well worth it!!

I really like the performance that I get with the K&N Filters.
They are really long-lasting with a minimum of maintenance.
Of my two most recent filters they are both over 5 years old.
My two vehicles are a 1994 Pontiac Firehawk, and a 1998 Ford Expedition.

The performance that I received from just installing the filter in the Expedition was great. It made the SUV actually drivable in that there was pronounced lag upon acceleration before the K&N Filter which is now gone.  That filter was first installed on Oct. 20 2004, and the filter is 5 years old as of this date.

My Firehawk received its filter in 2002 and is still in use today.

Great Products.

For one year, I have had a K&N filter on my KIA C'eed/1,6 DSL /115 HP.
I have noticed especially a better acceleration, a little better power and the fuel economy is about 0,3-0,5 l/100km (in a normaly...driving!)
K&N is the best investiment, till now, in my car !(the next will be oil filter K&N !!)
Thank's K&N

I own a 2008 Chevy Silverado. Since installing a K&N air filter I'm getting @ 150 Kms more mileage per tank of gas. It more than pays for itself in a tank or two of gas! I think this is a substantial differance and I am telling all my friends. Awesome product!

I just got done trying out my New XStream Series Motocross Filter for my 2007 SUZUKI RMZ450.

I felt quite a bit of power when I was coming out of corners, it was hard to keep the front end down. It gave it def more bottom end grunt. Also when letting off the gas and getting back on the gas in mid throttle the pull was enhanced.

You can def hear the thing sucking in the air and also at top end it gets loud, not obnoxiously loud but a nice deep grunt from the air box.

Thanks for making such a sweet product.

I've been using K&N filters for years in all my bikes with definate improvements to exeleration and all round performance. My latest bike, a Triumph Daytona, was suffering from a jerky flatspot at low revs after fitting a race can and power comander. Once I fitted the new K&N I noticed an instant result. No more flat spot and much improved takeoff, now I can realy enjoy the bike to it's full potential.
Big thumbs up to you guys across the pond us brits salute you :-)

Upon installing a K&N air filter in my 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with the 4 Litre V6, I noticed that my fuel economy initialy went down.
I attributed this to the ECM not recognizing it or compensating for the increase in air flow.
After about 5000kms, I noticed an improvement and after 10,000 kms I am now getting 28mpg as opposed to the 23mpg I was getting with the stock air filter.
This improvement is based on highway driving with the cruise control locked in at 100 km/h.

Just received and installed your Typhoon cold air intake on my 2009 Subaru WRX and I am impressed.  It was easy to install, looks better than original equipment, and the extra punch was very evident the first time I drove it.  My WRX was already pretty quick, but its now very very quick.  Thanks for a great product.

I own a 1980 El Camino with a mildly worked 396 (.030 over, street/strip cam, headers, turbo mufflers, Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake, MSD ignition, Taylor race wires, etc,)750 Holley carb., I'm a mechanic and am always tinkering with my car. Always had a bogging-down prob.that I couldn't adj. out. Just put your E-1650 a/f on for grins, and guess what- no more probs. with hesitation!! Excellent throttle response.. In the process of checkin' mileage, looks better so far...Highly recommend your products now...thanks!!

Went from a stock paper filter to a K&N air filter in my 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer ES. There is absolutely no hesitation with how my car responds now. I ran max A/C with fan speed in high, used fully synthetic oil, and the car still accelerated like a missile on the street. The engine is only a 2.0L 4 cylinder 120 HP non-turbo cast iron engine. Barely touched the gas and the car responded instantly even with a full load on the engine with four people. Mitsubishi recommends filter change every 30000 Miles, but with K&N you don't have to clean it till 80,000-100,000 miles on the filter. Much easier to get peak MPG at least, and yes a I drive a lot in the city and now top out at 24-33 MPG and 35-42 MPG on highway depending how I drive. The use of a stock or cold air K&N filter with fully synthetic oil will more than pay for them self.

Well I had 1990 a Nissan pickup that I put a K@N in. It gave me good mpg then I upgraded to a 2003 Chevy 2500hd 6.0l V8. It sucked gas like no tomorow. Well I thought to myself and got the complete air intake kit this time. Before I put the high performace exhaust in I noticed I was geting way way better mpg with this pig then when I got the exahust I got even more. Well I got rid of the Chevy and moved to a car. I now own a 95 Eclipse 2.0l non turbo. I got an exahust on it with the stock air filter. This made it a little more snapier then I got the drop in k@N and man WOW. The power I have now! As always better mpg, keep up the good work guys. THANKS K@N

I put a K&N Filter on every vehicle as soon as I purchase it. I have a 2000 Ford Mustang, 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, and a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire that all showed noticeable increases in horsepower and gas mileage especially with the Mustang. I purchased a 2004 Ford Explorer just two weeks ago that had a noticeable throttle response problem. The installation of the K&N showed a noticeable improvement in the throttle response. I have used the K&N cleaning kit for years now and have never had any problems with oil build up, ever. It is very easy to clean the filters and if needed the instructions are extremely easy to follow. I would and have recommended the use of this filter to everyone I know in every vehicle they have. Dare I admit that I have actually given a few as gifts. A friend questioned me about the K&N filter days before driving from Boston to Kansas City. My response was get one and if you do not like it I will pay for it and buy you a new air filter. He estimated that the filter paid for it self and then some on just one 3500 mile round trip. When he returned he thanked me for the advice. It's the most inexpensive dollar per horsepower product I have ever installed on any vehicle.

I purchased and installed the cold air intake kit for my 2008 Chevy Impala SS WOW.  The immediate difference was unbelievable.  It made an already 300+HP screaming machine, faster and more responsive.  The MPG has increased significantly as well.  You can hear air being sucked into the throttle body!  Thanks K&N, this product is amazing!

I writing now what I should have written years ago.  I came to the website to look at the iformation offered as I want to put in a K&N air filter in a Ford Expedition I want to buy.  Years ago I bought a new 2000 Ford Explorer with a V6 engine and while on vaction in the high Sierras with my new Ford which was fully loaded with gear and family, I clearly recall how my Explorer performed.  At around 4,000 feet I laid on the gas pedle pretty hard for more than a half mile to build up speed as the grade up the road gets pretty steep up to our destination of just over 9,000 feet. Within less than 5 minutes I had the gas pedle floored and was just barely doing 50 mph.  By the next year I had changed out the air filter and exhaust. When we went up that same road I had to stop to pull over so that my wife could get my daughter a bottle as her ears were hurting her.  I thought all my speed was gone and we have even more gear then last year.  Well thanks to swapping out my filters and exhaust I was able to get up to 65 mph and even my wife was surprised and noticed the difference.  But the best was the increase in the over all mpg I got out of each tank.  My log showed that I was filling up at around 335 miles per tank and after I was filling up at around 360 miles per tank. After just over 10 years of ownership and over 166,000 miles not only have I recouped what money I paid for the filter and exhaust but have probably recouped it 5 times over. When you add that my engine has never had to be touched by a mechanic I would say with the help of the K&N air filter I got my monies worth.  Thanks guys for a great product, I will be putting one in when I purchase a Ford Expedition.
