The best rock crawlers turned out for the event on Memorial Day Weekend to compete on courses that were tough, technical and challenging. “Usually front engine vehicles have an easier time in Goldendale,” said Lindsay Waggoner. “But this event seemed to go to the rear engine moon buggies.”

Shannon Campbell was in the lead going into Sunday’s event. He blew a rod on his first course, ending his chances for finishing on top. “In Goldendale there is no making up points with any mishaps,” said Waggoner. “You are either on your game or you’re not. We were on our game during the entire event.” Cody and Jim Waggoner completed each course with a minimum in penalty points.

Team Waggoner uses K&N Engineering products. “Our K&N Air Filter gave us the extra boost we needed,” said Waggoner. “K&N also keeps the dirt out of our engine to help us finish the competition. We have four rigs and everyone is outfitted with K&N.” They are currently tied for 3rd place in the W.E. Rock Western Series.

Team Waggoner is headed to Donner, California in June for the next W.E. Rock event.
