K&N Engineering has been designing, manufacturing and enhancing High-Flow Air Filters for the automotive enthusiast since 1969. We invented the High-Flow category and the High-Flow Technology that supports it.  K&N manufactures more air filters than any other manufacturer of similar products.  Our catalog offers thousands of air filters for just about any air filtration need, however, when there is a need for an air filter that is not in our catalog all is not lost.  That is where our Custom Air Filter program may be able to help.  Our Custom Air Filter program offers more than 120 million custom air filter combinations.  These combinations include most air filter types.

Once you have searched for a K&N air filter using our dimension search at http://www.knfilters.com/search/universal.aspx and do not see an existing part number that fits your specific application, call 800-858-3333 and ask one of our customer service agents about our Custom Air Filter Program.

Our experts are available Monday through Thursday from 6 am until 5 pm and on Friday from 6 am until 4:30 pm PST. Be prepared to provide a description of your application needs along with the desired quantity and filter dimensions.  If we make a filter that is close to what you need, provide us with the part number and how we could change it to meet your needs.  For example if you need an air filter just like our RU-2820 except you need it to be 6" tall instead of 6.5", this will give us the information we need to build your custom air filter.

When you call, our customer service representatives will search to see if another air filter satisfies your needs. For example, “I need a round air filter with a 12 inch diameter base, 10 inches in length with a 5 inch chrome top; or I need a custom air filter with an E-1500 air filter base and a six inch rubber top at 8 inches high.”  You may be asked to submit a sketch which should include base/top diameter, length and shape.

Our Custom Air Filter Manager looks at every request that enters our system. If we have any questions on our end you’ll be contacted. Personal attention is important to us at K&N.

Once we have reviewed your specifications our customer service department will contact you and provide a quote.  Our usual turn around time is two to four weeks.  Volume discounts are available depending on the number of units ordered.

K&N's Custom Air Filter program provides a valuable service to consumers and businesses with unique air filter requirements.  Not only are they getting a custom air filter to fit their needs, they are getting what we believe is the "World's Best Air Filter".

Find K&N products for your vehicle using the K&N application search.  Find K&N universal filters using our air filter dimension search.  Use the K&N dealer search to find a K&N dealer in your part of the world.
