NASA Pro Series Points Leader Combats Weather at Buttonwillow

The series is an amateur racing program with more than 10,000 members within 15 chapters across the United States. Malcolm participates in the southern California chapter.

Malcom drove his No. 92 Nissan Sentra SE-R through rain showers and mud on Sunday. “A car flipped two cars in front of me on the track,” he said. “I was fighting to stay on the course when the other car went end over end and landed hard. When a course is black flagged you think about safety, but you have to believe in your safety gear and hope things like that aren’t going to happen to you.”
The weather affected Malcolm’s visibility on the track. “The cage on my car prevents me from having windshield wipers on my Nissan,’ he said. “The other problem I had involved the intense amount of mud flying everywhere. I couldn’t see the apex on the course. I could however, count on my K&N Air and Oil Filters. K&N gives me more horsepower and keeps the debris out of my engine.”
Malcolm is the points leader in his class at this time. He will race at Willow Springs International Motorsports Park in May.
