“When I let go of the button I knew I crushed it,” said Cummings. “You don’t go to a race thinking, I want to runner up. Everyone wants to win. All things considered, this is a good way to start he season. We made a little money and we built up a little confidence to start our NHRA and IHRA seasons.”

Cummings Motorsports is a family business from Hammond, Louisiana. “Bayou Boyz Racing has ten cars,” said Cummings. “We use K&N Engineering Air and Oil Filters on all our vehicles. With K&N I’m faster and very consistent and the filters never give us a problem.”

The Cummings Motorsports Team has a full schedule planned this year. The team will be chasing national titles in both sanctions in Stock, Super Stock, Super Comp and Top Dragster. The team of sportsman class racers consists of Larry Cummings, his two sons Britt and Slate along with crew chief Dave Levatino.
