Lange took home $25,000 from the $100,000 point fund along with a new 2007 Honda Ridgeline truck at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. “Darcy had 652 points, the next person had 524,” said team manager Denny Bartz. “We had 23 wins this season. It could be a record breaker for us.”

Friday’s 450 Main Event: Team Babbitt’s Darcy Lange, Tyler Bowers and Zach Ames
Saturday’s 250 Main Event: Team Babbitt’s Darcy Lange, Team Babbitt’s Jeff Northrop and Tyler Bowers.
Saturday’s 450 Main: Tyler Bowers, Team Babbitt’s Darcy Lange and Zach Ames.

Team Babbitt uses K&N Engineering products. “We have seen horsepower gains and better performance on our motorcycles with K&N,” said Bartz. “K&N Filters are also easy to clean, and easy to put on and take off. K&N makes a great product.”

With the K&N Presents BooKoo Arenacross Series in the record books, Babbitt’s Team is preparing for what could be their biggest challenge all year and their second goal. “The final round is the U.S. Open of Arenacross,” said Bartz. “It carries a $100.000 purse, with $50,000 going to the winner. This is the largest arenacross purse in the world.”

Lange is the favorite going into the final at the Mohegan Sun Arena with 23 main event wins out of 36. “Darcy is ready to take on anyone,” said Bartz. “Riders seem to have the most difficulty coming though the pack, but Darcy is able to pass. Now that the championship is in our pocket he can concentrate on winning races and not protecting a point lead.”

This season, Lange has shown what experience, maturity and a great bike can accomplish, said Team Owner Eddie Babbitt. “Watching Lange this season has been an experience,” he said. “He’s so smooth that he didn’t look like he was riding hard when he was trying to chase down fast riders. His style is inspiring to watch.”
