K&N performance air filter KA-7513 fits easily into the stock airbox.
With four models available in 2013, all share the well-engineered chassis, torquey power plant, agile handling, and excellent comfort of the Kawasaki Teryx. Designed to be flexible enough for work or recreational use, the Teryx KRF 750 Side by Side has found favor with owners who need some of both in their lives.
One of the really novel features of the Teryx is the electric power steering system. Designed and manufactured by Showa, it eliminates the need for a power-robbing pump and is only active when the engine is on, so there’s no battery drain. Vehicle speed and torque sensors determine the level of steering assistance, plus the EPS provides damping on rough surfaces.
The Teryx KRF750 is powered by a 749 cc 80-degree, 8-valve V-twin engine developed specially for SXS applications that produces a prodigious amount of torque, particularly in the low to midrange, where SXS need it most. Handling the fuel duties is a thoroughly modern digital fuel injection system that utilizes two 34 mm Mikuni throttle bodies in a system controlled by a 32-bit ECU. The advanced ECU monitors coolant temperature, air-intake temperature and pressure, throttle position, vehicle speed and crankshaft angle with automatic compensation for temperature and altitude.
K&N replacement air filters improve intake airflow while providing excellent engine protection.
If you’re the owner of a 2013 Teryx, you’re well aware that yours was the final year for the 749 cc engine. For 2014, Kawasaki enlarged the dedicated V-Twin to 783 cc, raising horsepower by 26%. If you’re looking to close the power gap, a good place to start is to swap the OEM air filter with K&N performance air filter KA-7513. K&N air filters have been developed to add horsepower and acceleration to your Kawasaki Teryx through an increase of up to 50% more air flow. More air flow can result in better response when you step on the gas, and more torque in low, mid and high rpm ranges.
K&N air filters are manufactured from several plies of oiled cotton filter media, rather than restrictive paper found in the original Kawasaki filter. This not only allows for increased air flow but also provides outstanding filtration characteristics to ensure a long engine life for your Kawasaki. K&N can make this claim as it conducts its own in-house ISO 5011 air filter filtration efficiency testing, which follows International Standard Organization procedures, which ensures that K&N replacement air filters deliver high airflow without trading-off engine protection.
The only maintenance required for a K&N ATV replacement filter is a service you can do yourself quickly and easily with the help of the K&N Air Filter Cleaning Kit. Your one K&N air filter is designed to last for the lifetime of your SXS without requiring replacement.
You can order the filter simply by clicking on the part number KA-7513 as well as order the Air Filter Cleaning Kit 99-5050.
