NASCAR K&N Pro Series East kicks off 2015 season with first race at the New Smyrna Speedway

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will kick off the 2015 season with its first race at the New Smyrna Speedway half-mile oval in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on February 15, 2015

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) has released the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race schedules. With the two series combined, the 2015 schedule will visit 17 different states over 27 dates, and incorporates four new events. Nine of these events will be held in conjunction with national events including the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Motordrome Speedway, a banked ½ mile oval, in Smithton, Pennsylvania will host its inaugural NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) event on August, 15th and signals the first time the NKNPSE has visited Pennsylvania since 2012. Three new events have been added to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West (NKNPSW) lineup which harkens back to the series’ rich history. May 2nd will be the first time the West series has been to Tuscon Speedway since 2001. The NKNPSW will return to Shasta Speedway in Anderson, California after 22 years and the series will visit Meridian Speedway in Idaho for only the second time.

“The NASCAR K&N Pro Series has become the premiere training ground for our sport, and the diversity of the 2015 schedules will provide great challenges for the next generation of drivers,” said George Silbermann, NASCAR vice president for regional and touring series. As the title sponsor of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West, K&N is once again helping to support developing drivers in the premier developmental series created by NASCAR.
