2006 through 2010 PT Cruiser Gains 7 Horserpower with K&N Air Intake System
Chrysler PT Cruisers are powered by a 2.4-liter, twin-cam four-cylinder engine.
In base, Touring and Limited versions, the engine is tuned to deliver 150
horsepower. Updated in 2006, the PT Cruisers have new front and rear sheet
metal, a new front grille, new headlamps and fog lamps and a body color spoiler.

K&N Engineering, Inc. has made a 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit (57-1550)
for the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4 liter non turbo.
K&N test have shown a horsepower gain of 7.17 at 5004 RPM with the
Air Intake. "We were able to get such good horsepower because the original
factory airbox is restrictive," said K&N Performance Kit Technical Development
Supervisor Kirk Swanson. "We designed the heat shield around the existing parts
in the engine compartment for a nice tight fit."
