Australian racer Jason Crump is headed to Prague in the Czech Republic for round eight of the 2006 FIM Speedway World Championship on Saturday August 26th.

Crump has a huge 61-point lead (156 to 95) over American Greg Hancock and needs only 15 more points to regain the World Championship crown that he first won in 2004. Crump knows he has time on his side with three rounds of the series remaining.

He can wrap up the World Championship in Prague if he qualifies for the final. In that case Crump would automatically get a minimum of 16 points before the final race is even run.

“I always enjoy going to Prague because the track suits my style,” said Crump. “I’ve won three Grand Prix’s there since 2002, but I am not getting drawn into making any predictions because anything can happen on race night.”

Crump has used K&N Engineering products for years. “I have solely used K&N products and never had a problem,” he said. “K&N Filters are the best for dirt track racing because K&N keeps debris out of my engines.”

Crump plans to use the same strategy that he’s used all year, taking each race one at a time. “I’m going to Prague with one main objective and that is to win,” he said. “Of course, I would love to win the World Championship there, but I’m not being too optimistic. If I get through to the final, then it will be time to celebrate. If I don’t, then I will have to wait until the following round at Latvia.”

Follow Jason Crump's progress throughout the racing season at the K&N news site.  Find K&N products for your vehicle using the K&N application search then use the K&N dealer search to find a K&N dealer in your part of the world.
